The Molasses I is my first scratch built rocket. Named after my basset hound, it's a little one that carries crap and eats dirt. In other words, it's a payloader and uses a streamer.
When I swing tested it, it turned out that the rocket was unstable, so I added on more to the fins. But it was still instable so I tore those off and put on all new ones.

Flight # | Date | Engine | Weather | Comments |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 3/05/00 | A8-3 | No wind | Never left the pad. Engine lit, it burned, but the rocket sat right there on the pad. Either there was something wrong the with the engine, or the rocket got stuck on the rod, but it slid off easy when I took it off. Also a small hole was burnt through the launch pad. PAYLOAD: Housefly- Died, not sure why. |
2 | 3/26/00 | B6-4 | No wind | Good flight. Didn't work last time because it was to heavy for a B. PAYLOAD: Housefly- Lived. |
3 | 5/20/00 | B6-4 | Lt wind | Good flight, good recovery. |
