4) PLEASE DO NOT TAILGATE. It is inconsiderate, rude and slows the scheds down considerably. You are also making it difficult for me.  On CW, everyone has a much better chance of a contact if stations stick to one frequency & call at regular intervals. I am also listening for weaker stations amongst the 599+ so if you are running 100 Watts / a dipole, hang in there. 5) PLEASE, NO SPOTS of VKØMM on DX clusters - most operators know the website details by now & all a spot does is invite the clowns.  Why european stations even bother spotting VKØMM when I am clearly working North America is a source of deep mystery to every penguin on Macquarie Island.  If you want to use the internet to work VKØMM then you should send an email 6) ABSOLUTELY NO DUPES. No multiple contacts on the same band and mode. K1xyz & then K1xyz/M, / Portable etc.  is a dupe. OH1xyz & then F6/OH1xyz is a dupe. If you really need an 'insurance' contact, then work VKØMM on a different band or a different mode. 7) VKØMM has a VERY good memory & a very good friend called Kevin, the Penguinator.. VKØMM does not appear on DX nets/lists &  is unable to assist with pre-arranged personal scheds. In order to minimise pirate activity, VKØMM does not operate outside of the published schedule. Maybe multi operator mega $$$ DXpeditions and vacation operators do things differently, but this is not a DXpedition and I am not on vacation.   Please respect the fact that I am not living on Macquarie Island for the sole & exclusive benefit of the worldwide Amateur Radio community. If these basic guidelines continue to be followed, then many thousands of amateur radio operators worldwide will have had a contact with a very special and very rare Antarctic island in 2000.
