EDITORIAL POLICY

Our basic policy is to fulfill the stated mission of the Constitutional Republic Fellowship by providing a forum for open discussion and a free exchange of ideas relating to our constitutional Republic and its original, European Christian cultural traditions. The Gazette welcomes material in the following categories:

IDEAS AND ISSUES.

500 to 2,500 words. This section can include the full gamut of topics so long as treatment of the subject is brief and concise.

FEATURE ARTICLES.

2,500 to 5,000 words, dealing with topics of major significance. Ideas must be backed up by hard facts. Evidence must be presented to support logical conclusions. In the case of articles that criticize, constructive suggestions are sought. Footnotes are not required, but a bibliography is recommended.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR.

Limited to 300 words or less. Letters to the editor are an important clue as to how well or poorly ideas are being received. They are also an excellent way to correct factual mistakes, reinforce ideas, outline opposing points of view, identify problems, and suggest factors or important considerations that have been overlooked in previous Gazette articles. The best letters are sharply focused on one or two specific points.

COMMENTARY ON PUBLISHED MATERIAL.

Submit promptly. Comments normally appear as letters three months after published material. Be brief.

BOOK REVIEWS.

Prefer 300 to 750 words. Check with the editor in advance to determine if a review is desired. Please be sure to include the book's author, publisher (including city), year of publication, number of pages, and cost of the book.

SUBMISSIONS

Article submissions may be sent to us via electronic mail (e-mail) and should include the article in .txt (Microsoft Notepad) or .doc (Microsoft Word) format and the author's Christian name or pen name (see ANONYMITY, below), city, state, zip code, and e-mail address clearly indicated. Photographs, pictures, and other illustrations may be sent via e-mail in .art, .bmp, .gif, or .jpg format.

ANONYMITY

It has been said that anonymous authouring brings out the best in rational men and it brings out the worst in irrational men. As a general policy, no authour's name will be publicised or revealed to any other person without the authour's explicit consent.

ORTHOGRAPHY

The Oxford standard is the most widely accepted and orthodox orthography in the English-speaking world. It is actually the most accurate guide to the spelling of the English language available today, and the Gazette proudly embraces it as a part of our Anglo-Saxon cultural heritage.
