I am married to Nina and we have two daughters Niraja and Nandita. Nina and I have been married for over 25 years.

Nina teaches tourism in the College of Vocational Studies, University of Delhi. She is also an adviser and consultant to EQUATIONS - an non profit NGO devoted to the study of toursim. She is a trade unionist who is asocciated with the All India Coordination Committee of Working Women and All India Anganwadi workers and helpers union - this is a grass root organisation bringing together lowly paid village level workers.

Niraja worked for a television company and a media advocacy group. She is now a freelance director of documentary films. She has just completed a 15 minute file on Swami Achutananda and the dalits. She has a masters degree in History.

Nandita is an Advocate. She studied law after having graduated in Economics.
