How & why is Chief Byrd still in power? How could he have gotten away with all this? This is a very good website & a Blessing to our People everywhere, but those of us not in Oklahoma cannot imagine how this has happened or why it continues. Is this business of the selling of the River Bed not too similar to the way the Eastern lands began to be sold off? I am not knowledgeable as I would like to be so please know I realize & want you to realize I do speak in ignorance of all that is happening in Oklahoma, except that many I have spoken to are crying even now over this sad turn of events. As am I .......... Wadv, June |

I have been a proponent for gathering Tsalagi information as well as other Indian articles found around the 'Net for the local Indian Center Library in San Jose', California (919 The Alameda). They were just given access to the Internet as the librarian can now be reached at payerb@mailexcite.com He is a Ho-Chunk (Winnebago) Elder. The information on the Tsalagi is rather thin at this library and if you can possibly direct him to legitimate publications on our people, I'm sure he would be most appreciative and would purchase a few booklets. As for myself, three of four of my grandparents were mixed-blood Tsalagi. So, thanks for your time and please send any information on our people to the library or librarian. Lots of Tsalagi starving for information here on the West Coast. Dodadagohv i ale nvwhtohiyada. |
