Background knowledge and comments to events of current interest in Eastern and Central Africa

Purpuse:

To promote knowledge and points of view from persons, who have been close to places and events.

All work is done voluntarily, without economic interests of any kind

Target group:

The press, politicians, opinion-makers, organisations and individuals.

The groups will be looked for by setting up links to the most important search engines on the World Wide Web.

It will be registered, how many people have visited the URL, but not who.

Steering committee (alphabetically):

Writers of articles:

Preferably persons with special knowledge about conditions in the countries concerned, either because they have been born there, or because they have lived there for some years.

Articles will also be admitted from organisations and other parties with special knowledge about things, they want to communicate.

Articles can be forwarded by E-mail or floppy disk (MS-Word format). The first time an article is forwarded, please enclose a short biography of the writer (+ preferably a photo), or a short presentation of the organisation concerned.

Some persons/ organisations will be requested to send articles, especially refugees and witnesses to events .

Articles and letters:

All information can be used freely, but it is asked that source is specified, both the name of the writer and the URL. When information is used, please let us know by E-mail.

Reproduction of a letter or an article as a whole is only allowed when specifying source like mentioned above.

Articles and biographies will be preserved as long as they are regarded of current interest, usually at least 6 months, unless the author himself want them cancelled or updated.
