DEPARTMENT NEWS

The huttig fire department recently purchased a new drop tank. Training on using the new drop tank will beging as soon as possible according to Chief John Gilmore.

The department will hold a fire prevention program for Huttig Elementary on 10-11-01.

This summer was one of the lowest number of grass/forest fires for the department in several years.

We are in the early planning stages of possibly getting a new rescue/equipment vehicle.
