Teaching History & Qualifications
I joined the Ministry as a contract teacher, teaching at Ping Yi Primary School for 1 year 3
month. This was followed by 2 years of training for the Diploma in Education at NIE and it
includes a 3-month teaching attachment at St. Stephen’s School. I was graded ‘Excellent’ for
this Practicum exercise.
I was then posted to Maris Stella High and spent about 3 months teaching before I accepted
NIE’s offer to read Geography for a Bachelors’ of Arts in Education. I also have a Diploma in
Electronics and Communication (Computer Options) from Singapore Polytechnic
