Our Functions

To formulate and conduct aggressive education campaign down the Provincial, City and Municipal levels through mutual cooperation between Government functionaries
To maintain safe-travel worthiness of roads and bridges through patrolling and survey of any defect, and ensure completeness of road lights, traffic signals, informative signages and other safety devices and fixtures
To enforce Traffic Laws, and other Special Laws, Presidential Decrees, Regulations, Ordinances, Department Circulars, and Letter of Instructions related or pertaining to traffic and environment, conduct investigation and scientific research, and develop database pertaining to traffic accidents and other safety infringments along the highways
To conduct motorized patrol and safeguard and protect persons and properties, preserve the peace, maintain order, prevent the commisionof crimes, suppress criminal activities, apprehend criminals, neutralize syndicated group that victimizes motorist, and spearhead operations against Carnapping, Hijacking, Highway Robbery and other forms of criminality along the highway
To maintain and improve database for Wanted Motor Vehicle Information System (WVIS) ans develop Wanted Carnapping Personality Information System, issue MV Clearances (WVIS) in pursuance to RA 6539, and enforce Visitorial Power in consonance with PD 1612 and in relation to RA 6539 and PD 532
Enforce deputation orders of other Law Enforcement Agencies pertaining to regulations and restrictions on the azquisition and use of motor vehicles along the highways, entry and exit points between inter-island travel
