Why I'm Predator. My real name is Jim Hosking. I retired in November of 1993 from the Detroit Police Department with twenty five years service. I worked undercover in the Commercial Auto Theft Section my last four years on the department.
How did I get the name Predator? My first day at CATS (Commercial Auto Theft Section) my supervisor told me I had to have a call sign for undercover radio transmissions. He also suggested it be a name of an animal. Well all the good names had been taken, Lion, Tiger, Snake, Rattler, Cobra, Mongoose, etc. So I suggested the name "Bunny" because they are cute, furry, and everyone likes bunnies. Needless to say I was told that I wasn't cute, I wasn't furry and the car crooks wouldn't like me. So I suggested "Predator" because it covered all the "Bad" animal names. The name has stuck with me.
Police pensions don't leave you with what you are accustomed to, eating and living indoors. So I had to get another job. I am currently a Special Agent with the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Still working Auto Theft. I moved to St. Johns, MI. where I have a house on five acres surrounded by Mint fields. I have a dog, four cats, five goats, and a ghetto duck that was raised on the streets of Detroit. The duck has been hit by a car and limps, a dog bit off part of its beak. It has adjusted just fine to country life, two other ducks and two Ferrets.
I'm a Former Marine, so I had to give the Marine Corps a plug. I hope you stop by a take a look at my first attempt at web pages. Stop in a see my friends, and some of my favorite places on the Net. Thanks for stopping by "Predator's Place".
