Big Bro thank you for answering my letter so quickly about " what now " .I especially liked the fact you stuck to the facts and did not resort to name calling.I belive the company is doing what it thinks is best for the company.They have a buisness to run after all and sometimes have to do unpleasent things such as lay off's ect. I think the problem lies in the manner they do this or maybe were not given all the facts or half truths which leads to rumours and lies.Some will disagree but I do not think the ompany intentionally set out to hurt anyone.More comnuication is needed to correct this.The part about the union I totally support you on and would like to know how to change the by-laws to reflect those idea's.I think if we correct our in house problems nd start communicating with our company instead of treating them like the enemy we stand a fighting chance both management and union to making kelsey a world class plant to work in.However we have a long way to go and like every journey it all starts with the first step.Question is what will our first step be ???

Hey Big bro somethin' stinks about this contract vote.I talked to two brothers who said they defaced their ballots in protest,and yet there were no ballots thrown out from what I hear.Also the guys that were counting the votes all hold high senority in th plant.This was a good contract for the higher senority worker,and I think they cheated on the count.From all the people me and my group of associates talked to,it looked like a no vote for sure.The count dosen't reflect the statements being made on the f oor,as too many people say they voted no.Also in your letter on the web you bring up a point of a bunch of votes not being cast.Somethin' isn't right here,and I think we have to get to the bottom of this.We need to find out what happened to spoiled ballot ,and if the people who didn't vote were informed of the vote,and if the count was factual or phoney.Do you have any advice for bringing this issue up?Is there anything we can do,and who would we talk to, to get action on our concerns? Hi Big Bro. I work at a company called Aetna Manufacturing Canada Ltd. We don't have a union there, but the company treats us pretty good. We are a major supplier to Cami, and we make a pretty good wage of $14.00 an hour. We also have a benefit package wh ch includes, a dental and drug plan. Every couple of weeks the company has a barbeque for us, and over all we are treated good by our bosses. I don't see how a union would do us any good at all. For what we woulday in union dues, I don't think we would ga n any great advantages. I just don't think a union is the answer to all companies, and all workers. I feel Team Concept is a good thing, if it is used for the good of all the people in a company. I just don't see your point in your commentary. I hope that this does not upset you, but some people are happy not being involved in the union.

Hey brother,nice site. It is refreshing to see that some people are not afraid to speak out about things that are bothering them. I read on your Q&A page about some guy that was working for one of our suppliers. You really gave the Union reps of Cami a bi of a shot there. I tend to agree with you though. Unionized companies should not be giving out contracts to non unionized companies. It is counterproductive to the Nationals Objectives, and I feel it is just plain wrong of our reps to allow this. I have orked at Cami for a number of years now, and I must tell you I have seen this kind of thing before. No one seems to have a passion for representing the workers in a proper manner. People seem to be out for themselves anymore, and don't want to do what is est for the membership as a whole. I am not from Oxford County originally, but was a member of another CAW Local for a few years. These locals up in this region seem to be from a different planet when it comes to good union representation. No wonder more eople in Southwestern Ontario are becoming more disgruntled with the union way of life. Maybe someone like yourself, can rekindle the fire the unions once had many years ago.
