As most people know, polls may or may not be indicative of facts. There are too many variables to be accounted for which are not always taken into consideration. Other variables are taken into consideration deliberately in order to create skewed findings, especially manipulative ones such as how questions are worded or intonations when the questions are asked.
Therefore, the more ordinary everyday people who write their opinions and get them out there before others, the better off we will be.
True, only PC users can take advantage of sites such as this one. Also, only concerned people will write down their thoughts and go to the trouble to send them off. Plus, there are many with too strong a fear of rejection to let others read their opinions.
Thus, accuracy in any determinations made about the public as a
whole will not be any more accurate than polls. However, articles and letters written will
be as accurate an indicator as pollsters and analysts who intentionally skew their
findings.
In regards to fear of rejection, I have received close to 20,000
rejections and, guess what - I am still alive, kicking, and have kept right on writing.
So, what I am saying is - don't worry about about rejection. Treat me as a person who
wants to know your opinions whether I agree or not and whether you are an expert writer
or not.
