Rooks and I started this voyage
by first riding our bikes in Fruita Colorado. The original plan for
spring break was just to ride bikes for a few days at Fruita and Moab Utah,
then return home. So we had a great time riding in Fruita, and we
moved on to Moab Utah. There we set up camp and waited around for
the next day. We woke up and it was windy, cold, and about to snow.
So we loaded up the car and decided to go some where warm. So we
drove to California. We drove through Utah, Nevada, Arizona and Finally
California. After arriving in California we set up camp in the Serria
Nevada Mountains. We were awoken in the middle of the night to fierce
winds and snow. Finally they were so strong that the tent blew down
and broke. So we packed up the car and drove to Santa Barbara California.
We slept in the car overlooking the pacific ocean. We woke up the
next day and went to the bike shop to get the bikes repaired, and to get
the inside scoop on the trails. So next thing I know we are on a
killer trail up above the city. This thing had the sickest downhill
ever. My hard tail was all over the place, but we pulled through.
We then hung out on the beach and in town. We watched the sunset
over the pacific ocean.
Next thing I know we are on the
road for the Grand Canyon. We arrive there around 4 at night.
We pulled off the road to camp and eat dinner, where we almost got attacked
by rednecks! So we went into the park and watched the sunset over
the canyon. The next day we trail ran the from the rim to the river
and back out.
There were many signs saying you
will die if you try it. I was sore afterwards but I didn't die doing
it.
We once again watched the sun set
over the canyon.
The next day we left for Colorado,
and arrived home, where we drank a guinness.
