On the shocking day of the assassination, Abraham Zapruder decided he might go down to Dealy Plaza and see if he could catch a glimpse of the President. He didn't think he would.
He did, however and he also recorded the assassination on his film camera. This became the famous "Zapruder Film" it was confiscated at the scene and locked in a Time Magazine vault, only being shown as evidence to the Warren Commission until Jim Garrison's trial of Clay Shaw.
Click here for Zapruder's testimony before the Warren Commission.
Now that it is out in the open, you may download it here in Real Video format.
I have zipped the files because it appears that uploading and downloading them somehow corrupts the files in rm format. You will need an unzipping program such as Winzip.
Hold shift and click the links to download.
I have a high quality version which is just over 600KB big and a low quality version which is just over 100KB big.
Watching two people get shot is, of course, rather graphic so download at your own risk.
