DESCRIPTION: Prerequisite IFSM 300 or permission of the
instructor. This course covers the manner in which a
project is planned, scheduled and controlled.
A systems
approach to planning and implementation is presented and
used by students for their final project. Details of
project management such as; the project manager, planning,
resource allocation, budgeting, controlling, etc. are
presented.
The use of project management tools and
techniques such as creating a Master Schedule using
scheduling tools is covered.
SECURITY: Individuals accessing any computer system
described will be required to adhere to current guidelines
and regulations as prescribed by the host administrator,
e.g. 18th Wing CS/SCM (Air Force), or Regional Automated
Services Center (RASC), Marine Corps.
Individuals shown to
be abusing the system will have all access privileges
revoked immediately. In the case of a student enrolled in a
distance education option this will mean automatic
dismissal from the current, and future distance education
courses, and a letter explaining the decision forwarded to
the individual, and their immediate commander.
For staff
and faculty system access will be terminated and a letter
explaining the decision forwarded to the individual from
the Area Director.
