The creator of CatDog, Mr. Peter Hannan, informed me that CatDog has stopped production. Peter gave me the ok to start this petition in November of 2000. Many were sent to Nickelodeon August 2001.

We the undersigned feel that Nickelodeon's cartoon CatDog deserves another chance and more recognition.

Some reasons why:

1. CatDog gives hope. No matter how different, it doesn't stop CatDog from living a very fulfilling life despite its ups and downs. CatDog shows viewers that violence and hopelessness are not the best options. No matter how much they are pounded or manipulated they don't let it change their personalities. They don't lose their spirit because they have each other.

2. CatDog is humorous on a light-hearted adorable level. This appeals to ALL ages!

3. CatDog is funny in a witty, intelligent way. Mature fans can enjoy the satire, and jokes about pop culture and history.

4. CatDog teaches valuable social lessons like cooperation. Cat and Dog represent two types of people that are opposite to one another forced to get along. Viewers can relate easily. CatDog proves with effort that it's possible to work out frustrating situations.

5. CatDog shows realistic emotions. Rarely do cartoons succeed in being honest about social relations Realistic emotions help the viewer to understand the consequences of actions. It teaches lessons

6. The minds behind CatDog are creative and full of detailed ideas. I'm flabbergasted at the endless detail, clever stories, animation and dialogue that go into making this show.
