Paris has always held a fascination for me. I remember reading Les Miserables and The Phantom of The Opera and dreaming about what Paris was like....the Eifle Tower, The Opera House, going to see the Mona Lisa at the Louvre, the Cathedral of Notre Dame with its Flying Buttresses and the Gargoyles and Saints watching people passing day on day.
After visiting while I lived in Dublin I knew that I had found my city. With a vibe and an energy all of its own, I wanted to embrace the city and stay forever, walking along the West Bank and eating Crepes and shopping along the Champs Elysees. I have returned several times for visits, and each time my love for the city, its history, culture and people have only grown!

Here is a snap shot with my Aunt Debbie who traveled over to Europe this May. We traveled together to Greece, Turkey and Paris while she was here. I really enjoyed the opportunity to finally spend some time with Debbie and get to know her. Hopefully we will be able to travel together in the future as I has a great time travelling with her!

Dominating the Paris skyline, the Eiffel Tower attracts tourists every year, myself included. The views from the top are spectacular - Sacre Coeur, the Louvre, Notre Dame.
Can I Take it home with me??
Another Landmark on the city is the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur near Montmartre - a slight walk up the hill but well worth it - as gorgeous on the inside as it is on the outside!
The last building that has a place in my heart and soul is the Opéra. Immortalised in Victor Hugo's Le Fantôme de L'Opéra with the tortured soul of the poet composer Erik and the havoc he created for the owners, guests and performers of the Opera.
