A Little about myself

As I've said before, I am a junior at Ohio State, majoring in Marketing. I should be graduating in 2 years, which means that I will have escaped in four years - an unusual feat at OSU. But, if you want tow read more about my academic career, you can visit my acandemic page But onto my personal life.

I am twenty-one years old. I was born in Ames, Iowa on December 11, 1976, which makes me a bicentennial baby. I don't remembwer anything about Iowa though, because my parents moved from there to Ohio when I was just three months old. My dad had just finished up his Ph.d in Organic Chemisty, and had gotten ajob with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. So, we were off to Ohio.

I have two brothers, Matt and Mark, and a sister, Abby. Matt is the only sibling who is older than me. He is 22, and a first year graduate student in Architecture at OSU. The type of buildings he prefers to work with is office and convention centers. Most houses are just too boring for him. Mark is 18 years old, and a senior in high school. He doesn't know where he is going to college yet, although he has limited it to two choices: Kent State and Ohio State. He plans on majoring in Theater, and wants to act on Broadway. Abby is fifteen years old now, and a freshman in high school. At this point, she wants to be a history major, and write romance novels, although it probably will change.

I have been a musical person all my life. I was in the band from fifth grade to my senior year, and participated in various Jazz bands during that time. Each year, the band went on a trip. My freshman year, it was to the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville Florida. That was the best trip we ever took. Six days in Florida, with 120 high schooll kids. We tied for first in the competition, but lost out on preforming during pregame by less than a point. We didn't think that was fair, especially considering that the band that beat us couldn't be heard when they played. The next year we went to Chicago over Thanksgiving to perform in the parade that kicks off the Christmas season. We've also been to Toronto and Cincinati. I had a good time in the band, especially because we had a really nice band director. He looked a little like Mr. Hollund during the middle stages of Mr. Hollond's Opus. It was very frightening.

What do I like to do in my free time? My first question to you would be - WHAT FREE TIME? Just kidding. I do have some time to goof off in. I like to read books, especially romance novels (even though I know the plots are all rather weak), goof off on line (as you can tell by this page), and hang out with friends. What else? I love roller coasters. My favorite coaster would have to be the Raptor and Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio. I just love the fact that your feet are hanging out for the entire ride. I would love to be able to ride that one barefoot, although I'm not really sure that they allow that too happen. Oh well. I would like to ride the Mantis if I get up to Cedar Point sometime soon. I'm not too sure about standing during a roller coaster, but I'm willing to give it a try.

That's all I can think of about me right now. When I think of anything else - I'll let you know.
