Here's a résumé of my extra-curricular activities during the short period of time that has been my life. It's rudimentary, but it is complete, to the best of my knowledge. The activities vary from volunteer work, to sports and school clubs. Participation BASEBALL 1991-1997 Baseball Little League All-Star . Captain in every team (regular season and all-star) since I was 12. Captain of the Quebec Provincial Champion team in 1996. *Leadership 1993-1997 Assistant to practises . *Leadership and Responsability 1997 Selected on the Provincial Major Baseball League (Big League) All-Star team. 1998 Little League baseball coach. *Leadership and Responsability BASKETBALL 1992-1997 Basketball starting point guard. Captain every year. Season champions '95-'96. Finalists at the Takefman (28pts, 18ass., 6rebs in two games). 3rd place at the Volunteers tournament. 3rd in playoffs '94-95, 4th in '95-96. *Leadership HORSEBACK RIDING 1991 Volting and horse show at the Ayer's Cliff Fair. * Determination and Effort SOCCER 1990-1993 -Member of the Sherbrooke All-Stars (Les Verts). Goaltender, defenceman, halfman. Captain in 1992-93. * Leadership -Selected on the " Sélection Haute Performance" Regional All-Star team. And thereafter invited to the Québec Provincial team. * Effort and Determination SKIING 1987-1994 -Member of the Sherbrooke Ski Club.(runner) -Volonteer work during major races (coupe Vachon, Cavendish, Jeux du Québec). *Responsability FENCING 1991-1993 -Captain of the Sherbrooke-based fencing "épée" team Sher-Lames. - Understudy of Claude Maisonneuve in the achievement of his "Master of arms" title. Volunteer work during competitions organized by the club.*Leadership and Responsibility RUGBY 1998-199? -Member of the Mount Allison Univesity B-side Rugby team. MUSIC 1983-1989 Member of "Le Mouvement Vivaldi, as a violinist * Determination and Practice 1989-1994 Chamber music (with private teacher and students) * Determination and Practice 1992-1996 Member of the Séminaire de Sherbrooke Harmonie (Concert Band), as a percussionist. Recording of a Compact Disc (St-Charles en musique). * Practice and Devotion 1997-1999 -Invited to play with band KGB at local gigs as a guitarist. Played at two Bishop Cabaret nights and accoustic Tuesdays at a local establishment. * Love of music -Member of the Bishop's Concert Band, even though a Champlain student, as a percussionist. * Love of music -Intern at Bishop's radio station CJMQ, sitting in on a show.* Volunteer 1998-199? -Participated at many coffee houses at Mount Allison. -Host of my own Drive shift (3:30-5:00pm) radio show at CHMA SCHOOL RELATED ACTIVITIES 1989-94 Class President in 4th, 5th and 6th grade as well as levels 1 and 2 of high school. * Leadership 1988-92 -Volunteer work at the school's cafeteria (grades: 3-4-5) - Volunteered to wash the Sisters'cars * Volunteer 1989-92 -Participated in Regional Science Shows all through Elementary School. * Determination 1990-92 -Responsable for pre-kindergarden and kindergarden kids in the morning and at lunch time in grade 5 and 6.* Responsability 1992 -Winner in greater Sherbrooke area in a reading contest. -Finalist (lost by one) in the Regionals. * Determination 1993 Exchange with Dourdan Collège in France. Member of the organizing committee. * Participation 1994-95 Class sports president in levels 3 and 4 in High School. * Leadership 1994-97 Volunteered at High School's "Samedi Sports": weekend sports activities to draw young elementary kids to our school. * Responsability 1997-98 President of the school's Sports Committee in my senior year (Level 5). * Leadership -As a member of the Sports committee: a) responsable for organizing the intra-muros sports activities, b) helped pass information to classes throughout the year, c)organizing a volley-ball tournament.* Leadership and Responsability -One of the few selected students to take part in the "Leadership-Études" program at the Séminaire de Sherbrooke. Which included a (75 minutes) course each week, participation in the organization of activities (Halloween, Christmas..), and organization of a school project.* Leadership and Responsability -Volunteered to translate a French exercise word book and create a Verb exercise book for my English teacher for future Séminaire students to use, Also edited the word book making it more "user friendly". * Volunteer ***-Organizer of the "Trouve un logo pour tes Barons", a contest to find a logo for the school's sports teams, which consisted in: a) being responsable for informing the student bodies of the contest, b) taking care of the propaganda to intice participation, c) selecting the judging committee (which included the School Principal,General Secretary, Sports Director, an Art teacher,College Director (St-Charles offers a high school and a college program), a college representative, a high school student, athletes, three teachers and three coaches, d) tallying up the results, e) forming a committee to approve the "people's choice". f) acting as a member of the designing committee for the final logo with Principal, Sports Director, and Leadership Director. h) announcing the final logo at the Awards night. This project, which lasted my whole senior year, allowed me to demonstrate and use leadership, authority and responsbility skills. This logo will represent the St-Charles Barons for years to come, and I am very proud to have taken such an active part during my last year of high school. 1998-199? -Member of the Allisonian Yearbook comitee. -Participated in the Leadership Certificate -Member of the Mount Allison Commerce Society MISCELLANEOUS 1990-91 Selected for two television commercials (sports). 1992 Shoveled drive-ways for free. 1996-98 Active member of the Liberal Party. Attended conventions in Lapocathière and Sherbooke.
