ALUMNI OF L.I.T 
 
  The L.I.T alumni in the name "L.I.T. PAST STUDENTS ASSOCIATION" came into existence in 1980 under chairmenship of B.Y.Rao with an objective to promote comradeship and maintain contacts between past and present students .Later on 30th Sep 1985 in its fifth general meeting the association was renamed as L.I.T OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATION now popularly known as LITOSA with many additonal objectives like Promotion of relationship between Industry and Institute, Conducting of seminars and personality development programmes.
  The formation of LITOSA is one good thing happened to the life of L.I.T hill. Currently LITOSA with 700 odd exstudents as its members is a powerfull body.LITOSA spreading its activities formed a LITOSA TRUST in 1996 with donations of 50000 each from Mr.Anil shah and Mr.Girish Kekre(1976 batch) to provide scholarships for merit students on means and needs basis.LITOSA also presents two medals for the toppers of the final year students(one from chem.Engg. and one from Chem Tech.). 

 

OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSOCIATION: 

    Literary and Scientific and establishing a library to cater the needs members. 

    Organising seminars and holding guest lectures of esteemed faculty from various institutes,Industries and Research and development organisations. 

    Promotion of cultural and Sports activties for the benefit of students and members. 

    Establishment human resource development forum and related activities. 

    Organising entrepreneurship and personality development programmes for the benfit of students and members. 

    Establishment of permanent center at Nagpur to exchange scientific views and develop linkages among Academics-Research-Innovations-Entrepreneurship-Investment and planning. 

    MEMBERSHIP-TYPES OF:

    Any student who has graduated or postgraduated from LAXMINARAYAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. 

    Those who have completed Ph.D work from L.I.T 

    Past and Present teachers of the L.I.T 

    Membership in type [3] Honorary Membership is open to Donors and sympathizing persons. 

    CONSTITUENTS OF THE ASOCIATION: 

    The constituents of the association shall be

    General body 

    Governing body and its committees or sub -committees. 

     

    ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: 

    The Annual General Meeting shall be held on or before 30th september every year.
