I was born in the Seventies, the calm after the storm of the Sixties. My home town is Springfield, Massachusetts also known as Swingfield although I have no idea why! It is definitely not a swinging place. Anyway, I am the youngest in a family of five children, although by the time I was born my older brothers and sisters, except for one were almost grown, so it was just me and Darrin (he's five years older than me)! I grew up in a single parent houshold until I was about 10 and my Mom remarried.

At age 18, I moved out and went to college, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, that was a big bomb! That first chance at freedom was just a little too much for me but I did discover Islam there, that was a definite plus. I eventually ended up at Holyoke Community College were a received my Associate Degree in the wonderful field of Accounting. My next goal was the Bachelor Degree which I attained from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts (it's a small school and you've probably never heard of it). That's were I pledged Sigma Gamma Rho, Mu Iota Chapter - Spring 1995. A Blue and Gold EEEEEEEE Yip to all my sorors and my Sands Alexa and Jasmin. I also discovered the National Association of Black Accountants, a wonderful organization for accountants of color.

Shortly after graduating with my Bachelor Degree I moved to New Jersey and that's where I presently reside, in Irvington to be exact. I am currently a member of Sigma Gamma Rho, Gammu Nu Sigma graduate chapter. Gamma Nu Sigma is the Newark New Jesey Metro Chapter.

For the last two and a half years I have been employed as a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst for Axs-One, Inc. Axs-One, Inc. is a software company specializing in financial software for Fortune 500 companies.
