Northeast High School
Athletic Results
The fall season was a successful one for several Northeast teams:
- The boys cross country team came on strong at the end of the season to record a very strong finish. The Eagles finished third in the Anne Arundel County meet, followed that a week later with a third place finish in the 3A-East Region meet, and went on to a very respectable seventh place finish in the state meet. Congratulations to the team, and to Coach Alcombright, who was named "Anne Arundel County Coach of the Year" by the Baltimore Sun.
- The varsity football team finished the season with a .500 record, winning five and losing five. The Eagles were a very successful road team, posting a four win - one loss record away from Zastrow Field.
- The varsity boys soccer team finished at .500 as well, with an 8-8-1 record. The Eagles won two playoff games, defeating Duvall, 6-0, and Douglass, 2-1, before losing in the region semi-finals.
- The varsity girls soccer team also won an early playoff game, upsetting fourth-ranked South River in the region quarter finals.
