What is ALD-PES?
Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma (ALD-PES) are two national honor societies. Both Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma are nationally prestigous groups. Although the two are functioned as separate organizations, they work toward similar goals that emphasize the academics, characters and leadership of the members. To be a member, a student must have a GPA of 3.50 or above in the first semester of his or her freshman year of college. Once inducted as a member, that person has a lifetime membership of ALD and PES. [So don't worry about being kicked out!]
At the ALD-PES University of Houston Chapter, we joined the two organizations together. The criteria for membership in the local UH chapter are pretty similar to the ones in the national level. At the UH chapter, we are working to bring academics, community service and friendship together to provide mind-expanding opportunities to the members.
