Variable Tools Window (Palette)
Wireframe View
Box - Creates a cube 2 ft. by 2 ft. by 2 ft.
Column - Creates a 6 sided column with a radius (center to side) of 2 ft. and 10 ft. in height.
Cone - Creates a 6 sided cone with a top radius of 1 ft., bottom radius of 2 ft. and 10 ft. in height.
TriSlab - Creates a 10 ft. by 10 ft. 3 sided Slab with a 3rd side 14.142135623730950488016887242097 ft. long. The default thickness of the TriSlab is .5 ft. Note: The difference between a Floor and a Slab is that the Floor is constrained to a horizontal orientation, whereas the Slab is not.
Slab - Creates a 10 ft. by 10 ft. Slab with a default thickness of .5 ft.
Stairs - Creates a 6 ft. by 12 ft. flight of Stairs with ten .5 ft. thick steps spaced .5 ft. apart.
Wall - Creates a 10 ft. by 10 ft. Wall .5 ft. thick.
Floor - Creates a 10 ft. by 10 ft. Floor .5 ft. thick.
Anchor - Creates an anchor object for use with javascript. This tutorial will only cover basic internal operations, not external operations. Please see javascript documentation and tutorials for further information.
Entry Point - Creates an Entry Point to the world under progress. This is where a visitor to a world will arrive when he enters a world.
Portal - Creates a Portal to another world.
Imported Objects - Imported objects do not appear in the Variable Tool palette until they have been imported into the Atmosphere Builder. They can be placed in the world the same way that primitives are added to the world.
Imported Bookmarks - Imported bookmarks do not appear until they have been imported into the Atmosphere Builder. Imported bookmarks create portals to the world that each one points to. Each bookmark portal is added to the world in the same way as regular portals are added.
Player View
Solid - Similar to the paint can tools in many graphics programs. It paints a single surface or all surfaces of a primitive it is applied to.
Texture - The texture tool does not appear until a texture image is imported into the Atmosphere Builder. A different tool will appear for each texture imported.
Anchored Texture - The Anchored Texture Tool does not appear until an anchored texture image is imported into the Atmosphere Builder. A different tool will appear for each anchored texture imported.
