you're lucky to be reading this.  you don't deserve me.

the present:

6 March 2000
Again I got the bug to update the site, just to keep you informed.  I have registered battaglia.org, so we will be moving by the summer.

I live in a crackhouse in Binghamton:
There is alternate side of the street parking in Binghamton.  But across the street from me is a no parking zone:

I keep getting tickets for parking on my side of the street.  Why, you ask?  Because in Binghamton, the law is that you ignore No Parking signs on alternate days.  What a messed up town.

14 January 2000

Having not updated the web site in months, I figured it was time to finally do so.

It is still winter break and I have a few more days of work left.  I am working at the Risk Evaluation Group at Marsh, where they all are quite busy, yet don’t have much work to give me because I don’t know anything.

School starts again on 24 January, and I hope to repeat my academic performance of the Fall semester, when I earned a 3.885 GPA.  That is the highest my GPA has ever been, so I am thinking I deserve a present.  E-mail me to find out the address where you can mail gifts.

I still have no post-graduation job, although Marsh should present some opportunities.  My goal is management consulting, although I have already been rejected by McKinsey, Bain, Boston Consulting, Andersen…the list goes on.  I have save my rejection letters and after I am very successful in life, I will read them to humble me.  Or I will burn them when I get a job.  I need a job because I was planning on spending the signing bonus on Spring Break.

Speaking of spring break, Justin and I are going away for 5 or 6 days, but we have to choose a location carefully because I do not have a spring break body.  Even though he is going to a domestic medical school, I think we should go somewhere Spanish speaking so we can practice in case he ends up in Granada.

Exciting things I did over break: took Aline to Les Miserables for Christmas; went to Erin & Francis Browne’s house (where we played on the computer and worked on Erin's web site); visited Dave at Princeton; finally got a bed to sleep on at home; had some people over for New Year’s Eve; passed out on my 21st birthday after saying depressing, embarrassing things; and got my new over 21 drivers license.

Christmas/Birthday present update: Due to the inevitability of growing older, and my family growing larger, there were less presents this year than in previous years.  I expect this decline to be permanent and to continue in future years.  Birthday/Christmas presents from friends increased in quality, a trend I figure relates to me turning 21.  I got a few awesome presents, including but not limited to, a wallet, pocket watch, and overcoat.  Unlike last year, I did not make a list of my friends based on who remembered my birthday.  And people say I’m immature.
