CH Television’s News Department is proudly and intensely local, aggressively pursuing stories of interest and importance to the Hamilton, Halton and Niagara communities. Our news team of more than 70 full time and part time professionals produces more than 36 hours of news and information programming every week. Position: General Manager of Public Affairs Qualifications: The City of Regina is seeking a dynamic and creative individual for the position of General Manager of Public Affairs. The person we seek is a team player who has demonstrated strong leadership, management, communication, and interpersonal skills in public affairs management, and in the management of human and financial resources. This person will also have a university degree in journalism, public relations or a related discipline coupled with a minimum of five years progressive experience in public affairs, including experience in a supervisory role. Must have the ability and means to travel within the City of Regina. Candidates not possessing the qualifications as stated above may apply and be considered on the basis of their combined education and experience. Duties: Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the GM will provide leadership and the vision necessary to ensure our public affairs program is effective and efficient. The role includes long and short range planning of effective communication strategies, and designing, implementing and updating a public affairs program for the City of Regina.
