Yes, I'm still alive!! Its been a very long time since I've written in, so I thought now was as good a time as ever! As I write this, I'm sitting at work on a Sunday, waiting for the Canadian Tire across the street to phone me to tell me that my car tire leak is fixed!!! Man, ain't life grand! Anyway, enough bitterness!

Work is crazy...busy these days! For those who haven't heard, I'm still working at NTR, just a ridiculously early shift... 5 AM to 1 or 2 or 3 in the afternoon, depending on the day! I operate the morning news show, which Christina now hosts. And then I beg people to come on the next days show as early as 5:30. OOPS...that's a bit of bitterness coming through again...SORRY! Its actually not that bad.

I was coping with it for a few months by reliving university. Lots of drinking...lots of good times! I was starting to get recognized at bars and pubs around Saskatoon by the waitresses! That's when I knew it was time to slow down.

Night life is slowing down, now! My partner in crime, a guy named Colin who also worked at NTR, has recently moved to Vancouver - CKNW! So, this means my body is appreciating the fact that it gets more than about 2 hours a night.

Other big news in my life...I'm now the proud owner of a psycho cat. When Colin left, he took his good cat with him, and left the crazy one with me. It was either I took the cat, or Colin threatened to give it the "Tracy Latimer" treatment! So I rescued it, and I still have an intact couch, despite the cat clawing it every chance he gets! And its time to get a cordless phone, because apparently Hunda (the cat) thinks the cord on my phone is a toy! The most fun is the fact that I have to hide Hunda, because I'm not supposed to have any pets in my apartment! So, if I come crawling up any of your doorsteps looking for a place to stay, you'll know why! Let the great times continue!

At any rate, I guess I should go get my car now! Its sounds like you're all having a good time, so keep sending in the emails to the site...and I'll try and send in an update more often!

Well, I finally am getting my butt in gear to let you know what I've been up to. Thanks for keeping the website so fresh...I love checking in, obviously letting everyone know what I'm up to happens a lot less often.

Anyway, I just celebrated the big 23 yesterday! You won't hear me complaining about my aching bones like Freeman does, though. I had a great "Birthday weekend"...why only have fun 1 day. Went out to a bar Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday! Reagan was an extraordinary party planner on Saturday. At any rate, way too much beer passed through my lips this weekend...and I'm going to have to sleep for a couple of days to catch up. But I won't be down for long!

Heather Polischuk and Dave came through Saskatoon this weekend. It was great catching up with them. And Michele and Louis were through last weekend. We went out to visit all the bears, monkeys and other wildlife at the Forestry Farm. Of course a visit with Michele wouldn't have been complete without Corona...so we discussed a great many issues over a great many Corona. Ahhh...the good times!

And I talked to Heather Prystay last week. The best part is...NTR is paying for it. I had to phone Heather about a story we were going to do about, go figure, more whining farmers...but this time in Ontario. It was a great excuse to get caught up!

In other news...I still suck at golfing! I tried my hand at it again last weekend at a staff golf tournament. Despite the fact that I was hacking the ball down the fairway the whole time, I had a great time. Of all the people to pair me with, too, they chose W Ray, our Sports Director...lets just say it was a small mis-match!

On a more boring note, I'm still working at NTR. Its still really hectic, but the sick and twisted human that I am...I really enjoy it! Besides the occasional vain in my head popping when guests cancel 2 minutes to air, or aren't there at all...well, I get through it - and move on to the next crazy situation!

Now that I've written this incredibly long winded email (you'd think I was Dave, right!)...I'll say buy-bye for now...keep in touch!

Well, I've been in Saskatchewan now for a couple of weeks, and all is going really well. My new job is hectic, but very exciting! And Christina Cherneskey (The host) and I get along really well...which is a very nice bonus! I've already had the chance to chat with Pamela Wallin, and I have her home phone number, so that was pretty cool. And I've also had the unfortunate experiences of trying to book some Saskatchewan politicians...they're all so helpful!!!

I'm pretty much settled into my apartment. Only a couple of boxes left to unpack. I'm still very much enjoying the fact that I have a dishwasher, washer and dryer right in my suite. The dishwasher has some wicked water pressure though. It completely destroyed a wooden cutting board, and a glass so far...I'm hoping not to have to buy a new set of dishes every couple of months.

Guess I'd better go for now...

Well....in case any of you haven't heard yet...I've been hired at NTR in Saskatoon as a producer for the Christina Cherneskey Show!!!!! Thanks, Dave, for stealing my thunder...At any rate though, I'm really excited about it. I know, surprisingly, the job is in Saskatchewan, which I never thought I would do...but it'll be great! It has been a whirlwind week, I took my first trip ever to Saskatoon for the past few days, lots of interviews...and Saskatoon seems like a really great city. Kev...there is actually a city in Saskatchewan that is worth living in! I have already found an apartment, and I'll let you all know the address soon. I start at NTR on June 8, and will be in S'toon starting Saturday the 3rd.

Anyway...thanks everyone for keeping in touch! I hope to see you guys in Regina next weekend. A reunion of sorts, perhaps! Well, better go. Gotta go have a cold beverage and relax. Talk to you all soon.

This is Chad. Dave called me last night (May 17) to tell me some great news that he heard from Jeff. Mister Maser got himself a job, a producing job at NTR in Saskatoon. Dave didn't give me a lot of details because he didn't want to steal all of Jeff's thunder.

Congratulations, Jeff!

Buck has not landed a job yet, but he has some leads for an adventure magazine in Calgary as a copy editor and a small bi-weekly/bi-monthly or something in the Red Deer area. He is enjoying sitting on his butt and going out and enjoying the weather--- he's been to the lake already!

Currently on the job hunt, and apparently going crazy without access to the Internet and his email.
