LA (yes actual Los Angeles), and now for the moment just north of San Francisco and just south of the all geek hallowed Skywalker Ranch. And why oh why do I live in the Bay Area? Because somebody gave me a JOB!!!! So from 9ish to 5ish Mondayish through Fridayish I can be found solving the large format sound reproduction problems of the world in a comfortably small coffe shop lit cubicle..but sometimes they let me out cause ya can't just Aeron Chair design. I'm sure they won't like the hotlink to their web site, but it's free advertising and if you ever break your neck and need to retrain your self how to sit, I highly recommend it, and so did my neurosurgeon. But more on that later:
But how did I make it to my comfy cubicle which offers luxurious travel options, and the occasional day to play stuff really really loud?
Four years of fun and games which came down to one week of ceremony and parties. The University of Miami of Department of Theatre Arts Class of 2002
Followed by some GIGS, and GEAR , and 3 more years of fun and games in LA, and lots of media which inlvolves a lot of bandwidth this site does not provide. However I'll give ya a basic Interpretation of my time in Hollywood.
But along the path to greatness....no you can stop laughing now. Really..please.
There are some regrets, or just one really.
This was my ride. One SLP GTX Ram Air
My Car
As to your opionions on fine autmobiles, whatever. To me it was as they say The Car, and it can't be replaced. I tried with this one.
But nothing can equal the award winning original (2003 Southern California Club Grand Prix West Coast gathering Judge's Favorite) which tragically died on Augst 21st, 2004 at 2:51 PM with 76609 miles on the clock
when it slammed into a canyon wall on the 2 in the mountains just north of Los Angeles. This slight incident left me with some whiplash, a slight concussion, and a broken spine. Nothing $125k in surgery and a year in recovery couldn't cure.
Fortunately a fitting memoir was taken long before that fateful day, next to a friend's '67 GTO.
But now that I have owned a fast car there is only one that could surpass it. So before fuel goes out of style and given that California living doesn't get completely out of control (bwahahahahaha!!!) here's the car I will own...I hope. Why? Because I had one for a friend and I had one for a weekend once and it was ridiculous.
But for now I will settle for the present I will settle for a future version of past: The Ghost in the Machine: The 2005 Holden Monaro also known in the US as the GTO.
More GTO bigger but still compressed
More GTO part deux curse you JPEG aliasing
More GTO part C I need a better camera
But wait there has to be more than audio and cars... try here
