Ang Aking Istorya ng Pag-ibig sa Pilosopiya

          "Where do I begin / To tell the story Of how a great love can be/ That is older than the sea / The simple truth /About the love she brings to me / Where do I start?"

 

Penomenolohiya ng Banal sa Bagong Abot-Tanaw

             Sa Pilosopiya ng Relihiyon naghahangad tayong magkaroon ng bagong abot-tanaw sa karanasan ng tao sa kanyang sarili (personal), sa kapwa-tao (impersonal), at sa Ibayo (meta-pesonal). Naghahangad na mailarawan ang pinakabuod ng karanasang ito (sa pamamagitan ng paggamit ng Penomenolohiya) at sinisiyasat sa mas malalim na kahulugan at dahilan (sa paggamit ng Metapisika).

 

Existentialism : On Man Being Fully Human

        Being fully human in the modern world of highly technologized community, in which individually and man’s personal identity are gradually being carried away by the group, by the machines and by the state, means to assert oneself, proclaiming one’s existence with others without becoming individualistic.  The better approach to this proposition is the mode of philosophy called existentialism because its concern and focus is about existence, human existence.

The Benefit of the Doubt in Scientific Discoveries

        Novelty is a fact of key fact of science ,but normal science does not account for it. The tension between novelty and normal science may be reconciled after the stages of discovery has been completed.

 

Religion and Metaphysics

        In almost all of our endeavor in the field of philosophy, we start always with the definition of the subject matter we are going to tackle.  Hence, we limit in one way or another by starting what it really is and what is it all about.  We begin our introduction by the etymological meaning of the word to clarify things and giving due respect, through which we define.

Phenomenological Method

        Phenomenology is a way of seeing and discovering by describing man’s experience through certain phenomenological method.  By using it, I discover the Filipino’s outstanding trait of loving and being committed to one’s own family because within the family our personality and perception of life is being shaped up.
