April 16th was a momentous day for the Rampagers of the 15th floor. Not only was it a founding father's birthday, it was also the birth of another Rhoads Hall legend...."The Baby Pool."
It all began months ago when Matt came up with the idea of bringing a pool into the dorm, and having a beach party on our own Rhoads Hall private beach. This discussion carried on for months, with no action being taken. It wasn't until the afternoon of April the 15th when Dave, Mike and Vince made the journey to Target to purchase the gift of all gifts for their fellow Rampager Matt...an inflatable baby pool. All was well and excitement was beginning to grow, for everyone knew that Matt would surely go nuts upon the presentation of this marvelous gift.
Later the night of the 15th, Rampage members Vince, Dave, Mike, Steve and J.R. began preparing for the momentous occasion the following day. With all preparations complete, a need to keep these goods hidden was a must. The pool was hidden away in Steve's room, as the rest of teh decorations were hidden away in J.R. and Jason's room. After a nights sleep, Matt's birthday was at hand, and the pool was ready for it's presentation and inauguration.
Early Friday morning Vince, Mike, Steve, Dave, J.R. and Jason crept into Didier and Matt's room and quickly and quietly set up and filled the pool, along with setting up the palm tree and sun decorations. With all set up, Matt slowly rose in his bed, and as Vince placed the crown of Beast on Matt's head, and placed the Beast necklace around Matt's neck the room erupted with an enormous, "Happy Birthday!" As Matt sat in his bed looking at the spectacle in his room only one word came to his mind, "Money."
He slowly slipped out of bed straight into the pool. Mike, Vince, Dave, J.R., Steve and Jason stood there watching as Matt splashed around wearing his ducky raft. The whole time Didier laid in his bed shaking his head, not believing what had just taken over his room.
As the crowd stood watching, they began to wonder themselves what it was like down splashing around in the pool. Matt saw the desire in their eyes and began to invite them into the pool.
First in was Matt's wresting buddy Vince. As Vince slowly sat down in the pool the room erupted with another loud laugh followed by the shouts of "Money!" Know that there were four more people that were anxiously awaiting entrance to the pool Vince stepped out. As soon as Vince's body left the water in hopped Dave. Dave and Matt sat there laughing and celebrating with the rest of the room, until Dave knew just as Vince did that there were still other fellow Rampagers that wanted to dip their bodies into the biggest success of the 15th floor. When Dave was out Mike realized that he couldn't be out done by anyone, so without hesitation he stepped into the pool, not dressed in a baiting suit as Vince and Dave were, but fully dressed ready for class. He sat there and along with Matt's help began to soak himself with the now sacred waters of the pool. After a few minutes it finally dawned on Mike what he had done. Knowing class was just around the corner Mike exited the pool and began to dry of. As Mike wrapped a towel around his waist a familiar voice was heard coming form the hall. "Holy Shit," was all Brian could say as he stood at the door marveling over the sight in front of him. Though he declined the invitation to be next in the waters of the pool we all kept him in there with us in heart and mind. Next to take his turn in the pool along with Matt was J.R. Knowing that Mike had set a high standard of humor by getting in fully dressed J.R. knew he had to come up with something original. He then stood on Matt's chair and with a quick movement dove down into the pool. J.R. sat there splashing around with Matt until he realized that he too, just as Mike had class beckoning them. He quickly vacated the pool and the lone remaining Rampager left standing there to get in was Jason. Just as Vince and Dave had done, Jason slipped down into the pool with Matt, splashing around and laughing about how they had pulled off such an amazing feat. After everyone had had their turn in the pool with Matt it was time to bring the festivities to an end. The room was cleared and the pool was shut down for the time being. As the day went on Matt made numerous more trips back into the pool to have his own private swim.
Saturday and Sunday came and went, and the Rampagers knew that it was time to have another pool party. After loading up with the all mighty Beast, some of the Rampagers crowded into Matt and Didier's room so that they could have a quick swim while under control of the all might Beast. The night began innocently, but as you must know by now the Rampagers can never just leave a night without laughter and massive amounts of fun. After a while of swimming everyone was feeling the effects of the Beast, so the pool slowly transformed into a haven for drunks. With no regard for quiet hours the Rampagers splashed around wreaking havoc. Soon four of the Rampages, Matt, Nate, J.R. and Mike had found themselves in the pool all at once. With Mick laughing his ass of in the background the four Rampagers sat squished together in the small pool. Being sane enough to realize that the pool could not withstand that much pressure they all got out. Suddenly the door flew open, and there went Mike racing down the hall soaked to the bone with Matt's ducky raft around his waist. After running back and forth down the halls Mike finally came back into the room. Then Mike crawled back into the pool, and the real mess began. With Mike back in the pool everyone decided to add their own little mixture into the pool. With Nate, Matt, and J.R. pouring beer into the water, Nick decided to join in on the fun. He grabbed a pudding pack, and began to empty the pudding all over Mike's head and into the pool. In the end the pool had turned a to a nice shade of brown. After other Rampage members saw the mess that Matt, J.R., Mike, and Nate had created they refereed to them as "Four drunk bastards." After that night the name stook, and the pool party's official name became "Four Drunk Bastards Night."
The next morning the "four drunk bastards" looked back upon the night and looked over the destruction which they created. As the surveyed the mess Didier searched the room for his wallet. He looked up and in a loud cry yelled, "LOOK AT THIS ROOM! LOOK AT MY LIFE!" Today as we look back upon that joyous occasion the words of Didier always come to mind. After a bit of cleaning the room was back to normal, pool and all.
