Some of my poems...

Blackened Sun

A quaint little house on my street

Deep within a man, wrestling defeat

No one to turn to, no where to go

An overgrown garden and one lone crow

Sagging roof overhead, like a falling sky

Smiles and happiness, living a lie

Bleeding soul seeps out of doors

Coloring the flood of rain that pours

A lifetime of desires never set free

A depression locked heart to which there is no key

Sorrow strikes like a Cobra, wrenching the knife

One mans way of evading his strife

Depression reaching out with a clenching fist

Leaving a man enveloped by mist

Release

Vast independence

The freedom to love, live, laugh

Uninhibited

Population unshackled

Unrestrained liberation

My Superstar

As I do gaze into the starry sky

My eyes do meet your blazing azure stare

My heart does sing an arietta sigh

Musing that I cannot ever be there

Sometimes when I do sweetly dream of you

My mind perceives that it can't ever be

Although my sentiment for you is true

I may at times mistake your love for me

If once there comes a time that we do meet

Assure me that you will not shy away

If ever our warm spirits truly greet

I hope that we will ever bide that way

And while the span between us may be far

You will forever be my shining star

One

How can I not feel my heart, beating very fast?

How can I not lose my smile when I see your face downcast?

What is it that makes me want to run to you as soon as I feel fear?

What is it that makes me want to erase all of your hurt and tears?

Whatever it may be, I know one thing is true

There will never be another person that I love as much as you.

Humbled

Hiding in the pale moonlight

Fleeing through the trees

Native people and their plight

Forced down to their knees

Who were we to impose the changing?

Why couldn't anybody see?

It wasn't them that deserved estranging

It was only you and me

Coming across the oceans

We brought ignorance, bias and disease

Why was it them and not our selfish notions...

Humbled to their knees?

Illumination

The colors of our love

Swirled in the summer sky

Entertwining hues of utter bliss

Rainbows of emotion

Enveloping the world

Innocent, Sophistocated

Angels here on Earth

Dance into the sunset

Illuminate the sky

Replace the stars, one-by-one

Carry me away

Aquamarine

Clear blue-green water

Crashing tide creeping ashore

Yielding of the sea

Wind

Gentle, serene

Dancing, swirling, floating

Surrounding me so sweetly

Breeze

Kissing

Sweet, innocent

Touching, tingling, thrilling

The sharing of a simple love

Embrace
