Berkeley has been my home for the past 6 years and I LOVE it!! My favorite hangouts are:

• Coffee: Cafe Strada (on the corner of College & Bancroft Ave.)
• Drinking: Henry's (on Durant Ave.)
• Food: Barney's & Zachary's (on College Ave. in Oakland)
• Sports: Memorial Stadium & Harmon Gym (Go Bears!)

just to name a few. When you walk through the town you can feel the energy of all the brilliant students. The city is alive and jumpin' when you want it to be, or a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Berkeley Hills.

Of course, the advantage to living in Berkeley is the close proximity to "the city" (San Francisco) and BART will take you where ever you'd like to go. Good eats are Lulu, Postrio, and Stars, although save these places for special occasions or when mom & dad are paying.

Also, you have your pick of professional sports teams in the Bay Area:

• Golden State Warriors
• Oakland Raiders
• Oakland Athletics
• San Francisco 49ers and their super Quarterback: Steve Young
• San Francisco Giants
• San Francisco Spiders
• San Jose Sharks

as well as many college teams--but we only recognize the !!
