I would just like to say that it is unlikely any facts down here are accurate, if you are a player and would like to help us with our enquiries, and clear your name, please do. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Richard Morgan 18
Made his first team debut at the end of last season when Stu was injured. Although he is not a big 'keeper he makes up for it with his athletic ability and the fact that he managed to shout at Aizer very loudly. He has played for the Wales U-18s, but is likely to be consigned to the reserves unless Stu gets injured.
John Morris 24 Centre Back
A "rugged" centre-back signed from Newtown last season. Good in the air, and solid on the ground, although lacking a bit of pace. His only problem is a tendancy to foul and give away free-kicks whilst grinning maniacally.
Rhodri Thomas 21 Centre Back
Ex Welsh U 18s and Youth Team Captain. Eifion Williams rated him as the best defender he had played against in the LoW, which says quite a bit! Good in the air, brilliant tackler, he could do with improving his distribution a bit, and growing his hair, so that I don't keep on mistaking him for Andy Evans!
Donald Kane 36 Centre Back
The first LoW Player/Chairman "Jock" has started playing again since the departure of Aizlewood to Cwmbran, and led a lot of people to ask why the hell we got Aizlewood in the first place. Getting on a bit now, but still has enough pace to cope at the back, and has better ball skills than most of our midfield. He has added some much needed experience at the back, and he can play offside!
Wyn Thomas 19 Defender/Midfield
Having played around 20 games last season for the first team, whilst still playing for the Youth team, and Wales U-18s, Wyn now appears to have secured a first team berth. He has started off at the back this season, which could prove to be an inspired move by Appy, with Wyn's faultless distribution and growing strength improving the defence no end.
Apparently he prefers playing at the back, because he doesn't have to run as much as when he's playing in midfield!
Gari Lewis 26 Central Midfield
Rejoined the side from Llansantffraid towards the end of last season, just in time for the 6-0 thrashing we recieved at the hands of Cwmbran. Another midfielder who looks good, comfortable on the ball, but doesn't appear to do a lot. Good at popping up in dangerous attacking positions, not so good at popping up in defensive ones.
Martyn Griffiths 27 Central Midfield
Having lost the captaincy to Ryan this season, due to his poor form last year, is going to find it increasingly difficult to hold down a place in the first team. Very nice bloke, and even responded to my question on whether he should be in the team with: Yes I should be. Griff.
Here on the web we reckon he'd make a brilliant supersub in the Ronnie Rosenthal form, and a good reserve team captain, to bring the youngsters on.
Glyndwr Hughes 20 Forward/Winger. Roams!
Local lad who is starting his second season for Mid-Wales' premier team. There were rumours that he might be off to Llandovery to play rugby for 70 quid a match and a sponsored car, but thankfully we have managed to keep hold of him, which is a GOOD thing. Big hair, pacy, gangly legged and manic are words that could be used to describe him. But, somehow, it all works and he is an awesome sight in full flow. Hopefully he will be allowed to start more than he did last year.
Gavin Allen 23 Goal Poacher
Scored 30 goals for the Cream of the Cambrian Coast last season, and has kept up the goalscoring rate this season, with eight goals from as many games. Bangor have already tried to prize him away, but he obviously likes Park Avenue. For the moment anyway. He is somethimes criticised by the Park Avenue faithful for not doing enough outside the box, but then ususally shuts them up by scoring. He has formed one of the deadliest partnerships in the LoW with new skipper Ryan Nicholls, and these two hold the key to the season for Aber. Brother of Malcolm Allen, and has played for the welsh U-21s and Stockport County.
Ryan Nicholls 27 Centre Forward
CAPTAIN! Aber's most determined player. Managed to get 20 goals last season, and created many more for Gavin Allen. A spectacular finisher, Ryan is better outside the box, running endlessly and humiliating defenders for kicks. Has already shown he has the personality to take on the captaincy succesfully. His only fault is a tendency to get booked for dissent. If he plays well, then the team generaly does as well. Has a Wales 'B' cap, and has played for Leeds, Lincoln and Newport.
Andy Evans 22 Centre Forward
Tall local lad who was signed at the end of last season, having been at Cardiff City for a couple of years. Tall lad who doesn't make enough of his aerial supremacy. Runs around a lot, and gets caught offside. When he plays Aber tend to play long ball in the hope that he might win some of the headers. Could develop into a good player, but could do with improving his ball skills.
