[*] Color Picker Pro 2.0.1
|
Color Picker Pro is a small application that aids in finding color hex
values for use with HTML production. Color Picker Pro is more than just
a RGB to hex converter however! It can literally pull colors out of
windows, icons and Desktop backgrounds. If you can't find a color that
you're interested in using the former method, you can just as easily
utilize any of your System-level color pickers a la the Color Picker Pro
application. Once you've found the color you want, you're only a click,
menu choice or key combination away from pasting your hex value into any
text-based HTML editor. Color Picker Pro will also allow you to store
frequently used colors, undo and redo color changes as well as finding
the nearest Netscape 216 Palette color.
System requirements:
* System 7.5
* Power Macintosh
* 16 or 32 bit color preferred

[*] Dictionary of Computing - 'Verbs&Nouns' module.
|
Dictionary of Computing is a module for the 'Verbs & Nouns' and
'V&N Lookup' programs. These programs allow you to add new and
modify the existing entries, add comments to every entry, and
search for the entries. You can automatically search modules for
any text that you copy to the clipboard or use other features of
these programs.
You can download the latest versions of 'Verbs & Nouns' and 'V&N
Lookup' applications from the Info-Mac mirror servers. They are in
the directory: 'info-mac/edu/lang' (verbs-and-nouns-...,
verbs-and-nouns-lookup-...).
The source for this dictionary comes from the 'Free On-line
Dictionary of Computing' by Denis Howe and has been converted to
the 'Verbs & Nouns' format with author's permission. FOLDOC is a
searchable dictionary of acronyms, jargon, programming languages,
tools, architecture, operating systems, networking, theory,
conventions, standards, mathematics, telecoms, electronics,
institutions, companies, projects, products, history, in fact
anything to do with computing.

[*] English Nouns 1.0 - foreign language learning
|
This is a module for the 'Verbs and Nouns' application which you can
download from Info-Mac [info-mac/edu/lang] servers.
This module helps Macintosh users to study and practise the different ways
of forming the plural of English nouns. People sometimes think that to
form an English plural you just add 's'. This module may hold some
surprises. It is useful to native English speakers and to those learning
English as a foreign language. It contains 1400 English nouns, for example
city/cities, box/boxes, leaf/leaves, and many less-common types. You
choose the kind of noun that you want to practise, and the program presents
the singular form of a noun. You type the plural form of the noun, and the
program marks your answer. It will show the correct answer if you want.
The language is British-English (American-English variants are noted).
You can change or delete existing entries, add new words, and construct
groups of nouns that you want to practise. Translations in Italian are
included, and Italian users can use it to practise translation.

IconDropper - Version 2.1 - August 28th, 1997
IconDropper allows users to customize their Mac's icons on-the-fly
through the use of Drag-n-Drop technology. Instead of having to copy and
paste custom icons from tons of folders on your hard drive, IconDropper
stores all icons in custom designed sets called "packs". A single click
is required to update any folder's icon and see the results in real
time. IconDropper (and its sister app, IconPacker) let the user design
and embed custom banners and background colors into the packs when
saved. Packs can then be e-mailed to friends or distributed on the
Internet. For more information about this exciting new piece of
Macintosh shareware, or to download some cool looking icon packs, please
visit us at: <http://www.iconfactory.com>
Release 2.1 of IconDropper adds compatibility for Mac OS 8 and a new
utility, IconDragger, which allows you to drag icons out of an icon pack
and into another application (like Photoshop, FileMaker Pro or your
favorite web page editor).

About Learn and Play© 1.1 (see Read-me for modifications)
Thanks for downloading Learn and Play©. Learn and Play©, a
shareware conceived by Serge Beauchamp for SoftMedia s.e.n.c., groups
together seventeen computer based activities on the Macintosh
computer. The modules are aimed at grade school students. However,
increasing the difficulty level manages to keep high school students
interested. All the modules are grouped in one handy application so
that the student can go easily from one to the other. The modules are
grouped under the following sections : Education, Skills and Games.
In each module, the user develops skills in using a computer and, in
addition, develops academics skills as well, even while having fun.

>>QuakeMaps- It converts a PC map to a MacQuake map. After Converting
it to a Macquake Map you can double click on it and it will launch
MacQuake and then load the map. All this converter really does is
changes the file type.
Just drop the Map on the converter and it will do the rest!! You can
also drop folder full of maps and it will convert everything in the
folder to a MacQuake Map (this could be dangerous).
>>Quake Pak It converts the PC pak to a MacQuake Pak. I'm not sure if
there is anything special about having your Paks converted to a MacQuake
Pak but it makes your folder look nice :) All this converter does is
changes file type.
Just drop the Pak on the converter and it will do the rest!! You can

Announcing the release of Morpher for Mac ver2.0.
Morpher for Macintosh makes QuickTime movies using a 2-D morph between two
still images. "Morphing" is one of technologies witch transforms an image
to another image. The famous movie "Terminator 2" uses morphing in the
scene of metamorphosis metal lump to human body. You can not create these
advanced digital movies using "Morpher", but you can simulate a child face
from images of husband and wife.
New features since Ver1.5:
It will be more easy to design morph images. Old version requires to make
elements. New version does not require it.
System requirements:
- System 7.0 or later
- QuickTime 1.5 or later
- Morpher for Macintosh is Fat Application. It works best with the PowerPC

Mt. Everything is a Control Panel to help you to manage your SCSI-bus and
devices connected to it.
This package contains the final bug fix release of Mt. Everything 1.1.1
Main features include:
- View the types and manufacturers of devices connected to your Mac's
SCSI-bus.
- Mount any single partition or an entire disk at any time with a mouse
click.
- Start or stop each individual drive without rebooting the Mac.
- Use the disk-driver software installed on the disk or Mt.
Everything's built-in driver for any disk.
- View a map of the individual partitions (including system-partitions)
found on a disk.
- Special support for removable-medium devices
- Runs on A/UX 3.x
Fixed in 1.1.1 (compared to v 1.1)
- Mounts FWB's HDT 2.0.x initialized disks.
- Once again correctly handles disk-drives with a blocksize > 512 bytes
(This bug has been introduced in one of the 1.1 betas where I extended
CD-ROM support)
- "Info"-Dialog now handles disks with many partitions (more than about 12)
much better without overflowing the available display space.
- The built-in driver now handles removable media more meaningful:
e.g. It now won't let you manually eject a disk with currently mounted
volumes and then run into trouble when disk ejected isn't there any more.
- The built-in driver now correctly stops (and ejects) removable media
disks when you drag all mounted volumes to the trash rather than
trying to remount the volumes after a short while.
- Volumes (and partition) sizes for disks with blocksizes > 512 bytes
are (one again) displayed correctly now.
Minor feature enhancements (since this is not a feature but a bug-fix
release):
- Recognizes and displays meaningfull information on MkLinux ext2
file systems in the "Info" dialog
- Recognizes BeOS file systems in the "Info" dialog

[*] QuickestMirror 1.0; makes downloading easier and faster
|
QuickestMirror lets you quickly and easily access data replicated
("mirrored") on several Internet servers.
To solve the problem, I devised a new URL scheme that maps a single URL to
a list of URLs.
See
http://www.kagi.com/authors/fab/qm.html
for more info.
QuickestMirror requires:
System 7 or later;
InternetConfig (possibly 1.1 or later, 1.3 or later recommended);
a 68020 processor or better (it runs native on PowerPC-based Macs).
It requires Open Transport 1.1.1 or later to assess network performance;
MacTCP users will still be able to pick a server at random, that is better
than a fixed selection.

System Requirements: Macintosh or Macintosh-compatible computer running
System 7 or greater. Requires monitor capable of supporting 16 colors,
or better. This software is compatible, and has been tested, with both
68K-based Macintoshes and PowerPC Macintoshes

The document called 'Swedish Lesson' contains two interactive
computer-lessons of Swedish for beginners. To use them you need to have the
'Language Toolkit Reader' program version 1.3 or higher which is available
from Info-Mac mirror sites in directory /info-mac/edu/lang/.
The file demonstrates the use of the 'Language Toolkit Writer' authoring

[*] The Demuth Province

The Demuth Province 1.0.1
by Asa Swain
This is the first in a trilogy of games about your life as a youth in the
Demuth Province. This adventure games was created with GameMaker. You have
been exiled fromm your village until you can find the Xaria flower and
prove your manhood. The Demuth provinde is a vast land for you to explore.
You must brave dark forests, trecherous trails and finally delve deep into
a mountain in your quest for the Xaria flower. This game has sound, over
240 scenes, hand drawn graphics, many puzzles, and is un-crippled
shareware. You must have 1 Meg of RAM (2 megs preferred), 2.1 megs of HD
space, and a 16 color monitor (B&W works but the graphics are ugly). If you
enjoy this game be sure to regestir (only $5) to get a walkthough, maps and
personalized copy. E-mail me at eswain@tiac.net. Enjoy!
Note: Version 1.0.1 fixes several bugs and typos including a nasty bug that
wouldn't let you past a certain point.
END ABSTRACT
(please add my signature file to the end of the abstract)
As I said please replace the file named the demuth province that I posted
recently with this game. It fixes the bug that may have been in the
previous version.
Thank you

Warcraft II Maps 3.0 - The Battle is just beginning...
About v3.0
Maps created from the original immagination of ...mine!! Great maps for a
Saturday evening, when you have nothing to do. Or, if you have, you prefer
to play Warcraft II.
This file contains 5 maps I create for Warcraft II©, Mac version (is there
something else?). To play them, you need the "Warcraft II" game, created by
Blizzard Entertainment©. System requirements are the ones the game needs.
These maps are freeware, so you can use and abuse them all you want, you
can give them to your friends, put them on any commercially available
CD-ROM, or you can trash them. But, if you like some of them, send me an
email telling me so. I will be glad to receive it.
And I will be glad, too, if you do something good for our Apple or Mac
(evangelize a Wintel user, buy another Mac, pay for the shareware, etc.).
These Maps were checked with Disinfectant 1.7.

[*] Yank 2.0.1J - Japanese Version
|
This is the Japanese version of the Yank package.
Yank is a Mac shareware application that does two things:
*Cleans up your Preferences folder by moving outdated files to the Trash.
*Uninstalls an application and files created by the application by moving
them to the Trash. Nothing is deleted -- all files are moved to the Trash.
New for version 2.0.1:
*Uninstall does not require the "Mac OS Easy Open" Control Panel anymore.
*Clean up Prefs Folder now has two search modes: Thorough and Quick.
*Code has been better optimized for faster performance.
*And a few bugs fixes.
