Saints 1          

After a slow opening to the season sains decided to take the game to rangers and were rewarded for their efforts after 14 minutes a free kick looked to be going out for a goal kick but dasovic swept the ball back over and jones attempted a spectacular overhead kick. This would be unsuccsseful but the ball fell to Kernaghen who fired home from 8 yards.
Saints continued to attack rangers between glaring misses from wallace. So onto he second half ... with the sainties looking good until  dasovic won a freekick and had to leave the  field and when rangers regained possesion dasovic was recalled to late to halt the progress of ferguson who sliped the ball to doods who was MILES OFFSIDE!!!!!!!!
So 1-1 and 1 minute later the huns got another goal from wee billy.
Saints then seemed shocked for a while but the proceded to make a few chances but with no joy.
So a good start to the season although a defeat.

Hearts 2 

After a a quiet start to the match Saints sruggled to make any clean cut chances. Until the new born legend Mo Sylla. Sylla showed great skill to beat 3  jam tarts then thread a great pass to jones who sadly blasted well over the bar. But the sainties continued to push for a goal. Hearts seemed to be very weary of tommy lovenkrands so this gave young Parker his chance to shine. And it was parker that provided the opportunity for the 1st goal. Parker skinned the jambos left back and tried to cut the ball backbut could only win a corner. So up steped jp and sent the ball into the box and who was there to power a header towards goal.......Jim Wier but the ball was heading for goal so parker made sure by flicking home from 4 yards. And you can bet the will argue over who will claim the goal.  But Hearts did have chances. Alan main once again made some fantastic saves in the 1st half two from the head of Scott Severin.
So into the Second Half and a bright start from saints with sylla running the show down the right. And it was he that set up the chance for jones. Sylla  crossed low for jones to produce a diving header which Niemi saved well and the lovenkrands found row x with his shot from the rebound. The second goal wasnt far away and when lovenkrands stole the ball from pressley and crossed for jones to tap in.  After that saints went off the boil and allowed hearts back into the game and allowed them to sloppy goals allbeit that the first one was abit of handball. But decions dont allways go our way infact barely ever.
Still a newlegend was born Mohammed Sylla.
As sandy said after the match we played well upto the last en minutes and gifted them two goals.
