The following is a list of roads I have yet to travel in Wyoming. If the road is not listed here, I have taken it already. My goal was to have traveled all highways in Wyoming (Interstates, U.S. Highways and Wyoming highways) by the time I turned 25 (October 2006). Oh, well. It's the journey, not the destination!
I have already taken all the Interstates in Wyoming. As of this moment, I have one unique US Highway stretch and 16 state routes remaining.
For more info on Wyoming highways, visit Wyoming Highways @ Rocky Mountain Roads. Much thanks go to them for all the information that was essential to the creation of the site.

Most Recently Defeated Roads
February 15, 2009: Wyo. 92 from Huntley to Nebraska. On the way to Gering to see family. Still working on the Goshen roads, but since my grandfather is moving back to Wheatland, I have few reasons to get down there now.
July 19, 2008: Wyo. 151 through La Grange and U.S. 26 from the Nebraska state line to Torrington. Obviously, it's been a while since I hit some new roads. This is getting tougher, not easier, the closer I get to the finish. I was seeing my grandparents in Gering, Neb., and hit these roads in the process. Goshen County still has a few roads I haven't hit yet, so when I return to see them again, I'll have to be a little creative in my path there.
December 16, 2006: Wyo. 432, south of Worland. This was on the way back from the Lovell area for work. Boy, am I slacking off....
July 17, 2006: U.S. 20 from the Nebraska border to Lusk. I don't ever remember taking this road, so I did it (maybe for the second time). I got to see Van Tassel, which was exciting. This was on the way back from a three-day weekend in the Black Hills. This KO'd Niobrara County.
July 6, 2006: Wyo.'s 131 (Sinks Canyon) and 137 (near Arapahoe). Knocked these two out while in Fremont County for work. Sinks Canyon is beautiful; I'm going to have to go up there again soon. Oh, this knocked out Fremont County for me.
May 29, 2006: Wyo. 156 and 157 (near Lingle) and U.S. 85 (from Lusk to Lingle). On the way to Denver, my fiancee and I took some time to drive some new roads. There are still a few roads around Torrington I need to take; perhaps I'll jet down there again this summer.
May 13, 2006: Wyo. 132 (through Ethete). I had never been to Ethete, so while I was out there for work I took this road. It was my first new road in a long time.
September 7, 2005: Wyo.'s 290 (Pitchfork ranch road), 171 and 173 (both in Hot Springs County). On my way to Cody from Casper, I was ahead of schedule a bit and knocked out these roads. This killed Park County for me, although, after going up the Pitchfork road, I am convinced I need to go up there again. Pretty country.
June 24, 2005: Wyo.'s 135 and 139 in Fremont County (Sweetwater Station to Riverton). Totally not what I expected, this road offers some pretty amazing views of the Wind River valley.
June 21, 2005: Wyo. 270 (through Lance Creek) and Wyo.'s 271 and 272 in Niobrara County. Finally made it to Lance Creek, and it looked about like I expected -- a mini-city, some oil wells, a small school, and that's about it.
Sept. 26-27, 2004: US 191 (Farson to Pinedale), Wyo's 136 (Gas Hills), 351 and 353 (Sublette County), and 22 and 390 (Teton County-how the other half lives). I'm taking a job in Idaho Falls and on the trip from Gillette, I took these roads. Saw family in Big Piney and came back through Jackson. One of the longest two-day trips of my life but it turned out to be well worth it, because of the job I got out of it. PS-I never have to go over Teton Pass again in my life.... Nice drive, but killed my brakes.
This polished off Sublette and Teton counties for me.
August 16, 2004: Wyo.'s 335, 338, 340, 342 and 344 near Sheridan, while on a trip up there for a little relaxation. Boy, 335 past Big Horn is one of the prettiest roads in Wyoming, up next to the Big Horns... sweet. This polished off Sheridan County.
August 8, 2004: Wyo. 59 from the Gillette airport to Montana. Lot more hills and trees out here than I thought there would be. Finished up Campbell County.
July 4, 2004: US 16 from Upton to South Dakota thru Newcastle and Wyo. 451 going southwest out of Osage. Osage is by far the scariest town in Wyoming. Wow. I think the fact that I saw a dead turtle out there changed my view of the town a little bit... scary little town. I could just hear the banjos... deedle de dum de dum de da daaaa.... But this did knock out Weston County for me.
June 2, 2004: US 14-16 from the Gillette airport to Clearmont and Wyo. 341 from 14-16 to Arvada. There are some pretty magnificent views of the Bighorns from this road... pretty nice.
May 25, 2004: Wyo. 113 in Crook County and US 14-16/Wyo. 59 from Gillette to the Gillette airport, where the two highways separate. Wyo. 113 goes to Pine Haven, a nice little bedroom community.... This finished off Crook County for me.
January 9, 2004: Wyo. 91 in Converse County. Try this road out.... there's a pretty valley about 10 miles in.
December 22, 2003: Wyo's. 211, 218 and 222 in Laramie County. Did this for fun on a lazy Monday when there was nothing for me to do. Went to Horse Creek via the Roger Canyon Road from Laramie (it had snowed the night before and there were parts where I was breaking trail) and then took these roads on my way back to Laramie. Good times.
November 29, 2003: Wyo. 225 (Otto Road) in Laramie County. On my way back from day-after-turkey day shopping in Cheyenne.
September 21, 2003: Wyo's. 14, 130, and 230. Went over the Snowies on Sunday, then went to Saratoga. Went back to Laramie via Encampment and Colorado. Nice drive, especially this time of year when the trees are starting to change....
September 12, 2003: Wyo. 213 (I-80 to Burns). I went there to watch the Guernsey-Burns football game with some of my friends from Guernsey. Score: Guernsey 58, Burns 0. It was 52-0 at halftime.
August 3, 2003: Wyo's. 374 (Exit 61 to 66), 376, and 370. On my way from Kemmerer to Laramie.
July 30, 2003: Wyo. 150. On my way back to Kemmerer from Oregon.
July 3/4/5, 2003: Wyo's. 32, 33, 35, 36, 37, 114, 295, 296, and US's 212 (Beartooth Pass) and 14 (Shell Canyon), and US 310/Wyo. 789 (Big Horn County). What a Fourth of July weekend! I drove and drove until I couldn't drive any more (but yet found the time to take some hikes and do some sightseeing.... after all that is the real purpose of this mission). It was a great weekend for driving and sightseeing and there was actually relatively little traffic... then again I drove at some odd times (like 3 a.m.) so I'm sure that had some effect. It really put a significant dent in my roads left to travel.
June 21, 2003: Wyo. 332, 333, 334 & 337 (all around Sheridan). Took some time in Sheridan when I passed through on my way home for the weekend and took those roads out.
June 13-15, 2003: All Yellowstone has been defeated! Went down there for the weekend and took care of all the roads in the park I had yet to take.

The Story Behind the Roads
Here's how it went: I was born in Sundance, moved to Arizona, then moved to Midwest. I spent three years at UW in Laramie, and worked for three summers in Kemmerer and four months in Gillette. After some time in Idaho, I'm living in Casper. I've had family in Cody, Wheatland, Cheyenne, Laramie, Casper, Riverton, Huntley, Gillette, Big Piney and Jackson. I also played football and basketball in high school, taking me to such exotic spots as Meeteetse, Albin, Clearmont, Guernsey, Ten Sleep, Dubois, Hanna and Hulett. I have ties all over the state, and it shows in the roads I've taken.
