Dear Players and Family,:

We hope this year’s tournament will be as good as previous tournaments. We have some of the best judging on the East Coast because YOU the players and families are the most important.

All Kids Divisions will start after weapons.

è RULES

Fighting: Two minutes or three points whichever comes first. No sweeps to back leg, point must be seen before competitor hits the floor following a sweep to the front leg. A point will be given for a controlled , not fully extended technique to a legal striking target. Contact to the head is not necessary to score a point.

Protection: Safety hands, feet and mouthpieces are mandatory in all fighting divisions. Groin protectors are mandatory in all men’s fighting divisions. For the safety of competitors, headgears will be mandatory. Height may determine the proper age group in which a person competes in all children divisions.

Kata: Score 0-10. Score will be added by omitting the high and low scores. If there is a tie, add in the low score, if still tied add in the high, if there still is a tie, the contestant must perform again. Higher ranks must do another form. You may enter one of each: Kata, Kumite, or Weapons.
