The Tampere NMKY (TaNMKY) is a wheelchair basketball club in Tampere, Finland. Currently we have more than twenty members.We have a two teams. One in premier division and one in 1st division.

In this season (1999-2000) we achieved the 3rd position in premier division. And in 1st division our team was 3rd.

Review about the wheelchair basketball?
Like running basketball, the game is played by five players from each of two opposing teams, in two 20-minute halves, using a 30-second shot clock. The rules of wheelchair basketball are very much like those governing running basketball. The big difference between running basketball is the instrument wheelchair. So the requirement is that the game is played by sitting in the wheelchair. I'm quite sure that you will love this sport when you have seen it or try to play it.
And if I'm allowed to say the wheelchair basketball it the most fascinating and
gripping sport event for handicapped person. Or for the able-bodied person.
In many country it is allowed that able-bodied persons can play in national league.
