Perry Oliver Hanson's longest known genealogical line is Moody, his mother, a descendant of Wiliam Moody of Newbury, MA. The Moody line lived in Newbury for 4 generations after which Humphrey⁵ moved up the river Merrimac to Haverhill MA. Nathaniel Peasley⁶ , a revolutionary war soldier, went west, first to the Berkshires and then to Tioga Co. PA. Ada Jane⁸, eventually with her husband Nelson Hanson, a recent Swedish Immigrant, ended up in Iowa. Perry, their son, lived in Kansas and married there Ruth Stevenson Ewing. Ada Jane's parents were Benjmain⁷ Moody and Jane⁶ Chamberlain a descendant of William Chamberlain of Billerica, MA and Thomas Gilbert of Hartford, CT

Ruth Stevenson Ewing, a cousin of Adlai Stevenson, came from Bloomington, Il. The Ewing and Stevenson families originally came from Iredell Co. North Carolina, where both William Stevenson and Nathaniel Ewing came to settle in the 18^th century. Ruth's mother was Elizabeth Julia⁸ Merriman, a descendant of Nathaniel Merriman of Wallingford, CT. The Merrimans were in the Wallingford area for 4 generations before Daniel⁵ moved to Dalton MA and Henry⁷ migrated west to Bloomington, IL.

Henry's wife, Sarah Taylor Bodurtha⁶ was a descendant of Reice Bodurtha one of the first inhabitants of Springfield MA. This family stayed in the Springfield-West Springfield-Agawam area for 4 generations until Harvey⁵ moved to Pittsfield, MA.

In addition I have started a table with my grandmother's earliest ancestors, also with links to descendant charts. She has written 2 Genealogy books Receipt for an Inheritance and Day unto Day. The first one being about her mother's ancestry the Fleenors and Hopes from VA and TN. The second book is about her father's side of the family, George Day from New Haven, CT & NJ and William Bonnel form New Haven, CT and Elizabeth, NJ.

Susan Griffin wife of Nathaniel Peasley⁶ Moody.

Susan Griffin may have come from Columbia Co. NY. She was married to Nathaniel in the Great Barrington, MA region in 1790. There are very few Griffin's in this area, but quite a few in NY. Or, she could be related to the Griffins from the same area as Nathaniel.
