11.30.00 - The new season has begun, and Hermann Maier is back in the lead
after a Super G victory in Lake Louise on November 26th. With Lase Kjus back
from injury this season promises to be far more competitive, but Maier is
healthy and looking to repeat last seasons successes.
03.18.00 - Despite crashing in the Bormio Giant Slalom, Maier managed to
hold on to the GS title, beating out Christian Mayer by 3 points. Hermann became
only the 3rd skier to win 4 or more cups in one year.
03.16.00 - By destroying the competition in the Bormio Super G, Maier set
several new records. He won the race by a new Super G record of 1.91 seconds, and
he became the first racer in history to reach 2000 points. He also tied his personal
record of 10 wins in a season.
03.15.00 - By placing 2nd in the Bormio downhill, Hermann Maier has won
the Downhill World Cup, beating out Italy's Khristian Ghedina.
03.12.00 - Hermann Maier has won his second overall World Cup with
yesterday's finish, in which second place Kjetil Andre Aamondt failed to
finish.
03.11.00 - Hermann placed 3rd in the Hinterstoder Giant Slalom behind
teammate Christian Mayer.

Giant Slalom.

has won the Super G World Cup for 1999-2000.

Maier lost to Fritz Strobl.
01.21.00 - Maier won his third consecutive Super G in Kitzbuhel today.
01.15.00 - Hermann placed 2nd in the dowhill in Wengen, losing to
teammate Josef Strobl.
01.08.00 - Starting off the new year with a bang, Maier won the Downhill
in Chamonix today.
12.22.99 - Maier lost to Mayer in the Saalbach Giant Slalom today,
placing 2nd.
12.19.99 - 2nd place finish at Alta Badia Giant Slalom for Hermann
Maier today.
12.18.99 - Hermann was 3rd at the Val Gardena downhill today.
12.17.99 - Maier placed 6th at the downhill in Val Gardena,
blaming a poor choice of skis. This downhill replaces the one that
was cancelled at Val d'Isere.
12.12.99 - Today's GS at Val d'Isere was cancelled due to
bad weather.
12.11.99 - Due to bad weather men's downhill at Val d'Isère
has been cancelled.

12.06.99 - Yesterday's Super G victory gave Hermann Maier his 11th
World Cup victory in that event, setting a new record.
12.05.99 - Dominating the competition, Maier won the Super G in
Lake Louise today by a full second.
