This match was mercifully short. Brown has not worked a ton yet locally, so perhaps he has some potential. Cpl. Punishment attacked Brown seconds after the bell, and Crane hit Brown in the face with brass knuckles to score the win.
Axel Law came to the ring to address his broken neck. he said his recovery is progressing, but he is getting tired of the antics of some of the CWF wrestlers like the Hellfire Club and Corleones. He said he would put together a stable to even the odds with the heels in ht promotion.
Armageddon now is taking on even more WWF tag team gimmicks. They did the Kaientai voiceovers before their match, then did a three-second pose. Much of the match focused on comedy spots for both teams. Armageddon got the advantage at the end of the match and hit double stink faces on both Harassment members. They hit 3D for the win. After the match, Frank and Guido Corleone attacked and left Armageddon lying. Damien Stockholm got on the mic and told Armageddon the Corleones, now known as Excellence Personified was gunning for them.
Much of the first few minutes of the match contained a flurry of mat wrestling and pin attempts. Most of it stayed in the ring, too. Mantis took the advantage and tried to hit Mantiside, but K reversed that and hit a DDT. he climbed the ropes and tried a swan dive headbutt. The fight finally did hot the floor, but as K tried to suplex Mantis back inside, Katarina Heiss grabbed K’s leg and Mantis scored a quick pin.
This match didn’t really develop. Most of it was a brawl. Outside, Scott Gash and Vegas double teamed both Homycide and Orion when they were deposited to the floor. Gash finally got in the ring and Orion nailed him. At that time, Super Hentai and Devil Bhudakahn attacked Orion on the floor. Homycide hit the frog splash on Vegas in the ring for the win. Hellfire Club continued to attack Orion and wailed his knee with a chair. Homycide made the save for his opponent in the match. This injury will explain Orion’s absence from the area for a few months.
Doe and Bison met each other with hard punches to start the match. Doe quickly went to working on Bison’s knee. He hammer him with kicks and spinning toeholds, then finally went to a figure four leglock. Bison started to make a comeback. The ref got bumped, Axel Law came to ringside, followed by other Hellfire Club members as the match winded down. Doe hit a sillyhead DDT, which Bison kicked out of. With the ref down, Doe seemed to have the advantage, but Bison hit a sitting powerbomb, and another ref ran down and counted the pin. But before Bison was given the belt, the other ref DQd Bison for knocking out the ref.
Commissioner Kaboly then came out and ruled Bison would get a rematch next show against Doe in any type of match he wants. Bison picked an armageddon match. Kaboly also said Mantis and Heiss will face Brandon K in a handicap match next show. He also canceled Bhudakahn and Hentai’s tag title match for the night and ruled they would face members of No Limits in singles matches. If they won, they’d get a shot at the belts at CWF March Madness, 3-31. An infuriated Doe attacked Kaboly from behind and whacked him with three hard chairshots. Bison, Law, Brown and J-Ru made the save. Law then offered Bison a slot in his stable, and he accepted.
Both guys got off to a fast-paced start with spin kicks, punching and chokes. They brawled to the floor, where Venom let one of Kaboly’s relatives take a shot. She declined. At the end, Heiss went after Venom. He tried to get a shot in on her, but Bhudakahn rolled him up from behind for the pin.
Both guys started into each other at the bell. Hentai knocked Ciglar to the floor and him with a twisting moonsault. Hentai stayed in control, and once back inside, pounded Ciglar with stiff kicks to the back. He stayed on him with punches and hard chops. Ciglar mounted a comeback and hit a nice top rope rana, but toward the end of the match Hentai regained control. He climbed to the top to try to execute a move, but Orion stumbled down and knocked him off. Ciglar climbed up and hit him with a superplex for the win.
This match wasn’t much. Corleones dominated much of the action and cut Love off from his partner for most of the match. J-Ru tagged in at the end and cleaned house. Armageddon then ran to the ring with a street sign and distracted the ref. Frank Corleone was accosted by an Armageddon member, and J-Ru hit him with a tornado DDT for the pin to retain the titles.
This rematch from the last show started off the same way the last match ended: as a wild brawl. Hughes and K paired off and beat the hell out of each other. Hughes slammed his head into a post, then choked K out with his own bandana. Magnum brawled with both Payne and Hansen outside the ring. A fan started in on K, and he yelled angrily at him. Hughes tried to climb the ropes to jump on Payne, but Dennis Gregory ran down and knocked him off the ropes, upside down. Payne and Price ended up in the ring at the end, Payne whipped a fireball at Price to gain the pin. The fan spit water on K as he left the ring, and K tried to choke out the fan. The locker room cleared to assist the fan in his struggle. Both the fan and K were escorted from the area.
This wasn’t a bad match, but it didn’t differ much from their other contests. Toward the end of the match, the ref got knocked out and Gregory used a ring bell to nail Mike. He had him covered and Hughes ran down and counted the pin. Gregory was unaware Hughes was there, and as he celebrated, House hit him with a sitting powerbomb. That enabled Mike to score the pin to retain the title.
Action: C+
Angles: B
Heat: A-
Best of the night: Shirley Doe
Analysis: Not a bad show, but not the best effort yet from the group. Lots of things were furthered, like Mantis’ feud with Brandon K and Hughes’ program with Gregory. Doe vs. Bison next show should be pretty good. Doe looked particularly sharp this night with Bison. Mad Mike will move away from the Gregory feud, thankfully, That story ran its course. It’s nice to see a story develop in the tag division with a title at stake with Armageddon and Corleones. No Limits, where do they go next? Same with Hentai and Bhudakahn. Next show is March Madness, which should further these stories even more.
