Florida Update for Saturday 8/13

Update 8/13 - The first game!

This is not the 'official update' from the on-site reporter John Tester, but I got a phone call from both John and Bruce and thought I would put the results up as soon as I got them.

We won the first game 6-0.  We played the host team.  JR Raymond pitched 5 solid innings giving up only 5 hits.  Manny Espinoza closed out the game by pitching the last 2 innings and holding them scoreless.  Bruce said we didn't hit very well, but the pitcher we faced was pretty good.  Apparently, today's local paper had a huge write up on this pitcher and he is considerably skilled and has many professional and college scouts looking at him.  Don't those Floridians know that we are a TEAM OF DESTINY?!?!?!

The boys are having a great time and now that the 'first game jitters' are taken care of, WE ARE ON OUR WAY!!
