I was
lucky enough to attend my second series, this year, of the Braves vs Astros.
Although
this time it was a bit different, my husband and I went without the kids.
We
truly enjoyed our weekend. As in the pasted we stayed
at
the same hotel with the Braves. The crowd was huge this time and
the players
were
not as visible as in the past. I did not get to see Javy at all,
not even a glimpse.
I
was disappointed, but I did get to meet Bako, Mulholland, Don Sutton, Pete
Van Wieren,
Gene
Diamond, and Andy Ashby. I got Andruw Jones to autograph a picture
I had
taken
with him last year, I was very excited about that, and I also got Bako,
Ashby,
and Leo to autograph my sons shirt. I did have a weird meeting with
Chipper.
My
niece, is one of his biggest fans, and asked me to try to get a picture
of him smiling.
So
when he was signing autographs and I was standing in the back of the people
I said "Chipper can you smile for me?" And he made a funny face and
said
"Do I have to?" It was really funny and then I had my camera set
on red
eye
reduction so it double flashes and he turned before the picture finished
snapping.
My
picture didn't come out like I wanted, but it was a cute encounter and
something I'll
remember.
My husband rode in the elevator with Furcal the morning after his home
run.
He
told him beautiful home run and Furcal said "Thank You, sir, Thank you
very much"
with a huge smile on his face. Furcal was still on top of the world
Sunday morning.
Now
on to the games. We had great seats for all three games. Sunday
we had the very
best
seats. We were seated in-between home plate and the Braves
dugout,
8 rows
from the field.
Friday
night's game was close, but the Braves came out on the losing end.
Saturday the Braves came back in the eighth to win and we got to see Furcal
hit his first
major
league home run. That was very exciting. Sunday's game the seats
were great,
like
I said, but the Braves got hammered. I truly love baseball so I enjoy
every
game I get to attend. This was a fun trip for me, and I was
glad to spend my 10th
anniversary
trip watching the Atlanta Braves.
Every
year I have the pleasure of meeting someone new either at the game or the
hotel
and I now have many Brave Fan friends that I will enjoy staying in
contact with.
Okay, everyone enjoy the pictures I'll post below, but remember
they
are only for enjoyment and not to be taken. I hope everyone
is
cheering hard for the Braves and that we get to the World Series
again.
Go BRAVES!!
