This season was definitely not the best year of Israeli
soccer from the soccer quality aspect but it was a very intense year as
the relegators (at list one of them) and the champions were pronounced
only in the last round. It was the year of Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel
Tel Aviv and another 14 teams which most of them had only the motive of
not relegating to the second league. Hapoel Tel Aviv made her mark in this
season as the team that gave Beitar a big fight until the 90th minute and
even after she scored about 20 goals in the first half of the season (15
games) she scored probably over 30 in the second half of the year andmade
a very good improvement under Eli Cohen the manager. Beitar was the best
in the sum but only because of her good games in the beginning of the year
she had the best foreigners in the league (Pisont , Shaloy and Tartiac)
and the best midfielders in the league (Pisont , Abuksis , Alon Harazi
and Talesnikov). One of this season's biggest stories is Macabi Tel Aviv
the israeli soccer empire on her way down. After changing most of her players
this year she had intentions of championship but then the disappointments
began Rodrigo Goldberg the most expensive player in soccer was a failure
as he scored about 5 goals in all the season Ofer Levi the talented defender
was a disgrace to the factory of young players in Bney Yehuda and Moshe
Glam was... well he was Moshe Glam bad as he always was but not only the
new players were bad Nir Klinger and Avi Nimni (when he played in Macabi)
would want to forget this year either.
