about the author

hello all you people out there in cyberspace. my name is jennifer. i am a student at emory university where i major in history and theater studies. precision skating is my passion. i have been involved with precision since 1989 (i started skating in 1983), and have competed both at a national and international level (USFSA and ISI). currently i skate on the atlanta fsc's adult team, cold fusion. we are the 1996 ISI world team champs and are going to boston in august to defend our title. you can visit my shrine to precision by clicking on it. any questions you may have about precision will probably be answered there.

when i'm not on the ice, you can most likely find me in a theater somewhere. i am one of the founders of the oxford ensemble of shakespearean artists, a group dedicated to student run productions of shakespeare's plays at oxford college. while i have done some acting, (favorite role was violet, the madcap brooklyn maid in le bourgeois avant garde) i am focusing more on design and direction . i enjoy listening to tori amos, the doors, ashley macissac, and sarah mclaughlin, the prodigy, underworld (farrell's fave) and various other techno/industrial/danceables (except hip hop, it's just not my thing). my favorite poets are AI and charles baudelaire and my favorite drink is absolut citron (preferably lemondrops)

for anyone who's interested, in the top picture, i'm the 2nd from the left in the back row of people. that picture was taken at precision easterns in 1996. the bottom picture is of goldrush performing the famous egyptian program at 1992 skate america. incidentally, that is a picture of my favorite precision element. the back shoot the duck (oh, and note the really big sarcastic grin on my face as i say that)
