Yes, this Marshall Premium Jersey Card is shown at actual size! Pretty impressive, huh?

Not a bad product at all. The base cards are very well done, which creates a nice set to build. The 21st Century Rookies and Jewels of the Crown add a nice touch to each pack at first, but start to get old as you work through a box. But the inserts and jersey cards look very sharp and are impressive additions. I was also pleasantly surprised to find 2 SPs in the box, previously I had believed there was only one per (Pacific only stated the print run of 400 and listed odds as "random").

I also thought the Priemum Game Jersey included with each box was awesome. Now, the checklist is cluttered (as you can see above ... Grant Marshall?!), but the player isn't the big draw to these cards. The size is. I opened that card, and found the biggest swatch ever. Almost as big as the Private Stock PS 2001 Mini-cards (about 90% of that size). It's stunning to see such a big chunk of jersey, and very nice to pull (even if it is just Grant Marshall).

My box was a decent one. The main thing I noticed though was that a lot of the packs had just the 2 1:1 inserts in them. Pulling open packs started to get monotonous, 17 of the packs were virtually identical, 4 base cards and the 2 "inserts". Now, the value was in there and I did end up with a nice selection, but 17 packs looking very similiar can really lead to some long stretchs.

I was a bit disappointed to not find an Ice Blue parallel in this box, but then again, I suppose the Iginla redemption card took it's place, and that's not such a bad trade-off (especially with Pacific still honoring those redemption cards). The Premiere Date Parallel I did get was a great one, and game jerseys of LeClair and Nieuwendyk are respectable. The final element that really pushes this box over the top though are the SPs. The Filip Kuba SP isn't much to write about, but a Rick DiPietro RC numbered 400 out of 400 is a really sweet pull, topping off this nice box perfectly.

This was a nice break. A good assortment of jerseys and parallels are to be found and I felt I got good value. But I also found it wholesale online. Had I paid the $120-odd retail price for a box back when they first came out, I don't think I'd have felt as satisfied with value. If you can find a nice deal on these aging boxes, then go for it.
