One of my favourite things to do is go to the puppy park and play with lots of doggy friends. There are always lots of dogs to play with and I meet new ones all the time. My mom and dad usually take me to the Meadowvale Park but sometimes we visit the other ones too. Mom, Dad and the other moms and dads are building a playground for us there. It will have tires, jumps, A-frame, tunnels, dog-walk and lots of other fun stuff to play in. If you can get your mom or dad to bring you, come and visit my park and maybe we can play together.
MEADOWVALE PARK
This is a new park and still needs lots of work but we will have a great dog place when its done. It is on Battleford Road, east of Erin Mills Parkway. Battleford Road is between the 401 and Britannia Road in Mississauga. No hour restrictions.
QUENIPPENON PARK
Q Park is a fenced off-leash dog play area. It is about 150' by 200'. Q Park is in Quenippenon Meadows community Park on Erin Centre Blvd., just west of Erin Mills Parkway. It is opposite Erin Mills Town Centre. If your mom brins you to Q Park at night, you can watch baseball and soccer games too.
JACK DARLING PARK
Jack Darling Park is located on Lakeshore Road, west of Clarkson Road in Mississauga. It is a big park and the off-leash area is on the west side. Lots of dogs come here - it gets very busy. You can't go there on weekends and holidays between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., between Victoria Day and Labour Day. Its is on Lake Ontario but dogs aren't allowed on the beach.
TOM CHATER PARK
Tom Chater is a very small, fenced off-leash run but a new, bigger one will be built soon. It is on The Collegeway, west of Winston Churchill Blvd. Collegeway is south of the 403.
GARNETWOOD PARK
This is another fenced run. It is smaller than Q Park, but bigger than Tom Chater. Garnetwood Park is on Garnetwood Chase, off Rathburn Road East. Its harder to find because it is not on a main road. To get to it, you have to go along Burnhamthorpe Road, almost to the Etobicoke border, turn north onto Pony Drive and right onto Rathburn to Garnetwood.
