Just a quick reminder about the MIM hockey club social night tomorrow (Sat 27th Mar, 6pm onwards) at the APEX International Hotel in the Grassmarket (the one with the Metro Bar). Hopefully you and many of your friends can make it along for a drink and a bit of socialising. Even if you just come along for half an hour and have a cup of coffee - every penny counts. The APEX are providing great facilities on the night so please pop along sometime tomorrow night and lend a hand to fundraise for next season. MIMHC stickers/tickets will be available at the front door so that you can use these at the bar or in the restaraunt to make the staff aware that you are with the club. Dave Cory.

A fund raising race night has been organised for Prestonpans British Legion on 28th November this year. Everybody is welcome and we will be actively asking captains to encourage members and friends to come along for what promises to be an entertaining night. Unlike traditional race nights this does not involve cinema film but does entail a piece of strick, a long bit of string and 6 little wooden horses. Please make every effort to invite friends, family and club members and to support your club. A bus has been arranged to take people from Edinburgh to Prestonpans and back again. Further details can be obtained from Billy.
The next committee meeting will be held on Wednesday 29th October at The Apex Hotel in Edinburgh to discuss squads and the future direction of the club at all levels. The meeting will commence at 8.00pm sharp. Would all captains and managers endeavour to be there.
The time is getting close when the final entries for this year's rugby world cup need to be in. Please ensure that all your entries are given to Bill Robson by the end of the week. Remember it is in your own interest to drum up support. So please send or request entry forms from Billy as soon as possible.
Pub Golf - August 23rd 2003 Basically tee off around 6pm with some
pre-tournament food then it's off this year's venue, and a very tricky course too, The
Royal Mile and the first tee. In accordance with strict R & G rules the dress Code is
strictly golf clothing only (I'm talking golfing trousers, Pringles, plus fours, caps, the
lot) And most importantly all players must wear a golf glove on their left hand. The night
out is fancy dress and you must come dressed up. |
