-First double axel: Dick Button (USA) in St. Moritz, 1948

-First triple jump (a triple loop): Dick Button (USA) in Oslo, 1952

-First triple lutz: Donald Jackson (Canada) in Prague, 1962

-First triple axel: Vern Taylor (Canada) in Ottawa, 1978

-First quadruple jump (a quad toe loop): Kurt Browning (Canada)in Budapest, 1988

-First quadruple jump combination (A quad toe-loop/double toe loop): Elvis Stojko (Canada) in Munich, 1991


Firsts for female skaters

-First double jump (a double salchow): Cecilia Colledge (Great Britain) in Berlin, 1936

-First triple jump (a triple salchow): Jana Mrazkova (Czechoslovakia) in Colorado Springs, 1959

-First triple lutz: Denise Biellmann (Switzerland) in Strasbourg, 1978

-First triple axel: Midori Ito (Japan) in Paris, 1989
