A note about philosophy

My goal in making this page is to educate fans about this rivalry. I won't pretend to be completely impartial (check the domain of my e-mail address!), but I will try to make this as balanced as I can. For example, I got rid of the OSU wallpaper on the main pages. No matter how hard I try, however, there will probably seem to be an OSU-slant to it (I have access to Columbus Dispatch stuff and old OSU media guides much easier than Detroit Free Press stuff and old Michigan media guides, for example).

I will not go out of my way to rip Michigan or praise Ohio State. I have seen too many pro-Michigan sites that try to present their crap about this rivalry as fact, and end up just talking trash and whining. Exhibit A is here. Does this relate any history or explain why this is a great rivalry? No. He doesn't even have Bo's last year right (1989, not 1988). Not real good for a Michigan fan to not know when Bo left. Plus some stuff about Woody is wrong (he lost his last 3 against UM, but was 3-0-1 in the 4 games before then). This page just talks smack and uses selective facts to make its case. Phrases you won't see here: "Cooper's 2-8-1 record against the Wolverines reflects the relative quality of the two programs." It reflects his record against Michigan, and that's about all. If you want that crap, you can go elsewhere.

I'm more than happy to take anything you can give me-- tidbits about the games, suggestions for improving the site (trivia, video, etc.), or pictures you want to share. E-mail me, and I'll give you credit on the page (if you want it).
